Rob Kardashian Plans Gastric Bypass Surgery In An Effort To Lose Weight, Return To ‘KUWTK’?

Rob Kardashian is reportedly ready to go under the knife in an effort to lose weight. According to a new report, the reality star-turned-sock designer is done hiding and hopes the surgery will allow him to shed weight quickly, and improve his relationship with Blac Chyna.

“[Rob Kardashian]’s tired of hiding and he’s dying to come out in public with Blac, but he’s not comfortable in his own skin. He wants his old rock hard body back and fast, which is why he’s considering gastric bypass surgery,” a source told Hollywood Life on February 3.

In the last several days, Rob Kardashian has been spotted outside the home he now shares with Blac multiple times, and he’s also shared a photo of himself at the gym. However, whenever fans do get to see glimpses of the reality star, he’s always wearing very baggy clothes, likely to hide his much-larger frame.

Rob Kardashian quit Keeping Up With The Kardashians in 2012, and since then, he has struggled with a massive weight gain, which his mother, Kris Jenner, spoke of during an April, 2015, episode of the show. At that time, Jenner was seen chatting with a life coach, and during their conversation, she revealed Rob Kardashian had gained a whopping 100 pounds in just one year. Jenner also spoke of Rob Kardashian’s struggles with depression on the show.

“[Rob Kardashian]’s tired of being overweight,” the source continued.

However, when it comes to working out at a gym, he feels the results aren’t quick enough, and wants to do something that would jump-start his weight loss, especially now that he’s been diagnosed with diabetes.

“Working out in the gym will take him a while to get back in shape, but [Rob Kardashian] doesn’t want to wait that long,” the source said. “He’s considering doing this for his health, confidence and for Blac. He’s explained to her that once he sheds the weight, he will have so much more energy and would want to go on exotic vacations with her, go on fun excursions like skydiving and more.”

While it has not yet been revealed whether or not Rob Kardashian will return to Keeping Up With The Kardashians, his mother recently said he was hoping to eventually.

“[Rob Kardashian] still wants to come back and, you know, shoot the show,” Kris told Maria Shriver at during the Architects of Change: The Conversation Series event in Los Angeles last month, via Entertainment Tonight. “He just wants to feel good. It’s not that he doesn’t want to be on the show, it’s just he wasn’t feeling good.”

“[Rob Kardashian]’s still part of the show, he’s had a year where he kinda wanted to chill,” she added. “He hasn’t been feeling well — we didn’t really know why — he was just diagnosed with diabetes. So, we’re taking care of that.”

Jenner said that while her son hasn’t been seen on the show for years, she and her family spend tons of time with him off-camera. In fact, Jenner sees Rob Kardashian every single day, and said that he enjoys all the things they are doing, including his sock line.

Rob Kardashian has not spoken of a potential return to reality television, but he has been much more active on social media in the weeks since he and Blac Chyna began their relationship.
