The nominees for the 51st Academy of Country Music Awards have been announced, and it appears that Eric Church and Chris Stapleton are leading the number of nominations, with five each.
Eric Church received his first nomination for Entertainer of the Year and his third for Male Vocalist of the Year. Church was also nominated for the Album of the Year for Mr. Misunderstood , Video of the Year for the song “Mr. Misunderstood,” and the Vocal Event of the Year for the song “Raise ‘Em Up,” which he performed with fellow country music star Keith Urban. Chris Stapleton received his first ever nominations for Male Vocalist of the Year, New Male Vocalist of the Year, and Vocal Event of the Year for the song “Hangover Tonight” with Gary Allan. He was also nominated as both artist and producer for Album of the Year for Traveller .

New country music artist Cam received her first ACM Award nominations in four categories — New Female Vocalist of the Year, Video of the Year for “Burning House,” and nominations for both artist and producer in the Single Record of the Year category for “Burning House.” Little Big Town, the reigning Vocal Group of the Year, received their 10th nomination for Vocal Group of the Year, along with the Single Record of the Year and Video of the Year for the song “Girl Crush.” Little Big Town also received a Vocal Event of the Year nomination for “Smokin’ And Drinkin’” with Miranda Lambert.
