Kristen Wiig Opens Up About Boyfriend Fabrizio Moretti

Throughout the duration of her career, funny lady and ex SNL cast member Kristen Wiig has been known more so for her funny comedies rather than dishing out on her love life. However, Wiig finally opens up on how it feels to be in a committed relationship with beau Fabrizio Moretti.

Moretti, the drummer for The Strokes, seems to be just what Wiig needed. Although Wiig admits that she is “shyer than most people think,” that doesn’t stop her from opening up on her relationship to magazine Marie Claire. “I will say that I’m happier than I’ve ever been and I feel very lucky right now.”

The “why” of Kristen Wiig’s happiness is an obvious one as she tells the magazine it’s because of “where I am now, who he is. Those are the two big ones.” Although she doesn’t say much else about her love for Fabrizio Moretti, she does open up on why she decided to leave SNL, her staple home for seven years, saying, “I know a lot of people probably assume, ‘Oh, she’s leaving because she is going to be doing movies now and things like that,’ which I will be.”

Wiig continues, that she knew her time was up. “But I just always knew it was going to be seven and that was it. I think maybe if I were 22, I could see myself staying a little bit, but it just felt like the right time.”

Although Wiig is looking forward to a long and lasting career, it’s her relationship with Moretti that she’s most looking forward to, stating, “When you’re on your deathbed you probably aren’t counting the movies you’ve made. You’re looking at the people who are around you and thinking about the people in your life, and you can’t lose how important that is because that’s ultimately where happiness comes from.”

Wiig and Moretti began dating since late last 2011. In the past The Strokes drummer has been linked to Drew Barrymore and Kirsten Dunst.
