Charlie Sheen Says He Would Judge American Idol, Gives Two Conditions

Charlie Sheen may be busily working on his new show Anger Management but that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t be willing to take on a second job as a judge on American Idol.

American Idol Executive Producer Nigel Lythgoe recently proclaimed that he would love to have Charlie Sheen as a host on TV’s No. 1 rated TV series and it turns out Charlie Sheen would love to be there. Lythgoe named Sheen and Jerry Lewis on his wishlist although it is still unclear if he was being serious.

In a conversation with TMZ Sheen said two conditions would have to be met before he would agree to judge Idol. First his Anger Management network would have to give him permission to take part in a second show, although given the free publicity Idol would provide and the fact that FX is owned by the same parent corporation that probably would not be an issue.

The second condition is that the money would have to be right for Charlie Sheen and a few of the organizations he supports. Sheen tells the gossip site:

“If the numbers move the needle AND ‘Idol’ matches 20% of my weekly salary for Autism Speaks, JDRF, and the Boys and Girls Club … then the hell with it. As we say, pour the smoke.”

If those options are both met Charlie Sheen says of hosting American Idol, “Why the hell not?”

I have to admit it would be fun to see Charlie Sheen next to Britney Spears and Demi Lovato if those singers both opted-in to the show.
