Rob Kardashian Shares Rare Selfie On Instagram, Posts Twitter Message About Sacrificing Dignity

Rob Kardashian returned to social media this week after taking a couple of weeks off, and when he did, he shared the first selfie fans have seen since mid-2015.

After deleting all prior photos of himself, as well as his infamous Gone Girl reference, comparing his sister, Kim, to a serial killer, Rob Kardashian gave fans a look at his face — but only part of it. In the photo, shared in the early morning hours of January 20, Rob Kardashian was seen with a bandana over his nose and mouth, and a hat, or possibly longer hair, visible in the photo, as well. In the caption of the photo, Rob Kardashian failed to share a message with fans, but included two evil-faced emojis.

In the first 15 hours of the photo being shared, Rob Kardashian received nearly 100,000 likes and over 3,000 comments.

Also on January 20, Rob Kardashian appeared on Twitter, where he shared a re-tweet about sacrificing dignity.

“If it’s meant for you, you won’t have to beg for it. You will never have to sacrifice your dignity for your destiny,” the message read.

Weeks ago, as he celebrated the holidays with family, Rob Kardashian was rushed to the hospital, where he was tested by doctors and diagnosed with diabetes after struggling with weight issues and depression for about three years. Following his diagnosis, Rob Kardashian’s mother, Kris Jenner, spoke out on his behalf, sharing details of his possible return to the family’s reality show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

“He’s still part of the show,” Jenner, 60, said of Rob Kardashian, via People Magazine, while attending the Architects of Change event in Los Angeles. “He’s had a year where he kind of wanted to chill. He hasn’t been feeling well. We didn’t really know why. He was just diagnosed with diabetes so we’re taking care of that, but he’s always around.”

During the event, Jenner chatted about Rob Kardashian and his issues with her co-host, Maria Shriver, who wanted to know whether or not it was difficult to adapt to Rob Kardashian’s wishes to live his life away from the cameras. While that would seem likely, Jenner claimed it wasn’t difficult because her son enjoyed spending time with the family, and enjoyed all of the things they do together. She also spoke of Rob Kardashian’s own activities.

“[Rob Kardashian] has his business. He has a sock line and his stuff, but I think that it was just the perfect time for him to take a little hiatus because he does that. We were doing that,” she explained. “We just said, ‘Get well. Feel better.’ He was depressed and just wasn’t feeling good and didn’t know why.”

In addition to Rob Kardashian’s sock line, his mother claimed he had plans to return to Keeping Up With The Kardashians eventually.

“[Rob Kardashian] wants to still come back and shoot the show. He just wants to feel better,” she revealed. “It’s not that he doesn’t want to be on the show. It’s just he wasn’t feeling good.”

During an episode of the show early last year, Jenner opened up about Rob Kardashian’s weight loss while talking to a life coach, and shockingly, she revealed her son had put on over 100 pounds in just one year. Since then, he was been seen publicly only a couple of times, the latest of which was in June of last year, when he was photographed at a burger joint in Los Angeles.
