Happy Birthday To Golden Girl Betty White, Who Is Still Quite A Looker At 94

Happy Birthday, Betty White! The former Golden Girls star turned 94-years-old on January 17, and is still looking pretty darn great for her age. The actress, who is always constantly on the go, has had quite a wonderful year. From making a sensational TV appearance on Saturday Night Live to posting her very first Instagram, 93 certainly treated her well.

Let’s celebrate the last 12 months by strolling down memory lane, shall we? First off, White started off 2015 with an emotional win at the People’s Choice Awards where she received an award for Favorite TV Icon. Not only that, but she also received a standing ovation from her fans, as well.

In her acceptance speech, Betty said that she was shocked to win awards after being in the entertainment business for so long. “Thank you with all my heart,” the actress said.

According to Hollywood Life, in April, White accepted the Lifetime Achievement Award that was presented to her at the Daytime Emmy Awards and yet again, she became overwhelmed with emotion. “So much thanks to you and your mothers and fathers and grandmothers and grandfathers,” she said, giving a quick wink to everyone in the audience. After being in the entertainment industry for 70 years, White was entitled to receiving these honorary awards.

Wait! Golden Girls alum Betty White’s magnificent year didn’t stop there. As a matter of fact, in February, the actress was fortunate enough to lock lips with actor Bradley Cooper during Saturday Night Live‘s 40th anniversary special. If that’s not enough, the talented actress really stole the show with her comedic presence in “The Californians” sketch. She was praised for her role and as a result, earned her loud applause that evening.

In June, the talented comedian joined Instagram and her first photo was of her sharing some wine with her Hot in Cleveland co-stars. Very classy indeed! In fact, her hashtag read “HOTFinale,” which summed up the photograph perfectly.

In September, rumors circulated on the web stating that the queen of comedy was deceased when in fact it turned out to be nothing but a hoax. In October, White proved everybody wrong when she appeared as herself in an episode of Bones.

According to CNN, Betty began her birthday week by making a television appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden. In a photo that she posted on her own Twitter account, White is seated right between zookeeper Jack Hanna and New York Knicks forward Amar’e Stoudemire. She joined the social media site in 2012 and currently has 1.26 million followers, if not more.

“I’m sorry you had to say the number,” White said after Corden, 37, announced her age to the live audience on Tuesday, January 12. “I was going to say it was my 58th!”

The popular comedian received a slew of birthday messages as well as well-wishes from fans on Twitter.

In December, 2013, White was recognized by the Guinness World Records for having the longest television career for a female comedian. As of right now, the entertainer has no plans on retiring from the show business. “Retirement is not in my vocabulary,” she said.
