Golden Globes Best Dressed? Jaimie Alexander Wows On The Red Carpet

Jaimie Alexander looked very much unlike her character on her NBC show Blindspot, but she stole everyone’s breath away at the 2016 Golden Globes.

The actress wore a green and black Genny gown from the label’s Spring 2016 collection that revealed a lot of cleavage. Alexander paired her sexy yet elegant look with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry. Alexander revealed to Giuliana Rancic on E!’s red carpet her beauty secret. She shared that adhesive tape helps keep her tattoos in place on her show and her dress in place for the red carpet.

“A little bit of eye makeup, this and that and lots of tape. I can’t go anywhere without adhesive.”

But the gown wasn’t the first one that she had in mind, according to her interview with Entertainment Tonight.

“Well I was going to do a pantsuit, but then I saw this dress, and I said, ‘This is the one I’m going to do. I love green. I’m a huge fan of green, and it’s flattering, and it’s an extremely comfortable cut.”

Jaimie also brought along her fiancé, Peter Facinelli, 42, on the Golden Globes red carpet. The handsome Twilight actor wore a black monochromatic suit with black leather dress shoes. Jaimie and Peter met on the set of Loosies and began dating in 2012, and then got engaged in 2015.

On the Golden Globes red carpet, the actress revealed to Entertainment Tonight that their wedding will be as action-packed as her role on Blindspot. When asked about the wedding planning, Alexander revealed, “It’s going good.”

“We’re moving slow because we’re both extremely busy right now, but we’re coming up with some really fun ideas that involve a bit of a stunt. I’m a big action girl – I love all kinds of adrenaline stunts so we’ll see what happens. It’ll be something pretty spectacular.”

There’s still a lot that needs to be done for their special day. Jaimie revealed that they haven’t even set a date yet.

“We already feel like we are married, but we haven’t done that yet – we missed a step,” she joked to ET.

Back in September, she told the media outlet that they should just walked down to “City Hall” to get officially married, once and for all.

Alexander stars as Jane Doe on the hit NBC drama. She plays the role of a strong and powerful woman covered in various tattoos with no recollection of her life.

“It’s the most fun I have ever had on any job. It definitely keeps me on my toes with all the fighting and different languages. It’s amazing.”

But for her role, Alexander reveals that she has to sit for seven hours to have the fake tattoos painted on — and removed. She shared that a cup of coffee, good music, and deep conversation are the keys to getting her through the awkwardness.

“Usually when I’m not very clothed we’ll talk about each other’s families…Super awkward as you’re painting in certain areas, but we have a good time. It’s good people.”

The 31-year-old actress attended the Golden Globes as a presenter after garnering a lot of buzz for the past few months for her work in her new NBC series. The show premiered in September, and has been picked up for a second season. Alexander has also been seen on the short-lived ABC Family series Kyle XY, Marvel’s Thor: The Dark World, and two episodes of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

But there’s no doubt that Jaimie Alexander is the best dressed of the night. She’s already listed on San Jose Mercury News‘ Golden Globes 2016 best dressed list. There’s no doubt that Alexander will be topping more lists tomorrow morning. She may not be nominated, but her dress will be the most talked about.
