There’s a wedding anniversary coming up soon for Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. This May, Kim and Kanye will be celebrating two years of marriage, and the rumor is that they intend to do it in an “over-the-top” Kardashian style.

According to In Touch magazine, the Kardashian-Wests are planning a big ceremony in May, 2016, where they’ll renew their marriage vows in honor of the anniversary. The audience for the big show will include family, friends, and anyone with access to wherever the media group that buys the rights decides to show the ceremony. If the rumors are true, then Kardashian and West are a couple who sure know how to make a profit off of their marriage!

A source spoke to Radar Online to share some inside secrets about the marriage vow renewals. In true Kardashian fashion, Kim and Kanye want to stay away from anything “low key.”

“They want this to be a tradition, with an extravagant celebration instead of anything low key.”

It wasn’t Kim, 35, and Kanye, 38, themselves who came up with the idea to make some money from the renewal ceremony. They just wanted to celebrate their two years of marriage in a special way. It was Keeping Up With the Kardashians momager, Kris Jenner, who thought up the idea of selling the rights. Kris realized that Kim and Kanye are so popular now that it would be bad business sense to overlook the opportunity.

The source claims that Kris had some strong words on the subject of the marriage renewal ceremony in honor of the Kardashian-Wests’ wedding anniversary. Jenner told her daughter and son-in-law that “they’d be crazy not to cash in because their stock is so high right now.” Jenner estimated that Kim and Kanye would “easily make tens of millions of dollars in sponsorships and media deals by selling the rights to the event.”

Kim wants a big ceremony with everything lavish she can think of, but she insists she wants to “keep it classy.” There’s no word yet on how she feels about Kris’ idea to make her marriage into big business, but sources close to the family say that it’s very likely Kim “will cave” and do what Kris wants. Both Kim and Kanye are certain that they want their renewal of vows to be a yearly tradition.

“They both want next year’s ceremony to take place in Paris, where Kanye still wants to set up home eventually.”

The couple were married in Florence, Italy, in 2013, with a “lavish” wedding that featured “multiple walls of flowers” as a backdrop, Kim in a gorgeous Givenchy white dress, and a pre-wedding dinner held at the Palace of Versailles, in Paris.

According to online celebrity gossip buster, Gossip Cop, the whole story may be nothing more than rumors. Gossip Cop claims that a Kardashian rep assured them there would be no renewal of vows for Kim and Kanye this year, and points out that the same renewal rumors floated around last year.

Kardashian fans would be overjoyed if Kim and Kanye decided to go ahead with the marriage renewal ceremony. One Twitter user even wrote that they want their marriage to be like Kanye and Kim.
