‘The Bachelor’ Ben Higgins Hits ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’: Did He Reveal Any Juicy Tidbits?

Ben Higgins is looking for love on ABC’s The Bachelor 2016 season, and the premiere had fans buzzing Monday night. As is typically the case with each season in this franchise, Ben headed over to Jimmy Kimmel’s show to dish on the season ahead. Did he tease any juicy Bachelor spoilers?

As Bachelor fans know, Jimmy Kimmel is a big fan of the show, though he loves to poke fun at it, as well. Jimmy also loves to make predictions about who will be in the final four and he always tries to tease out a few spoilers along the way. This premiere appearance is always a fun one, and Ben’s was no exception.

Higgins says he watched the premiere alone, on purpose, because he gets a bit embarrassed watching it all play out. He says that sometimes he has to warn his parents, or grandmother, about things coming up on the show, if there are things he would rather they not see. In fact, Ben says his grandmother was having a viewing party at the nursing home, as she was so excited, but he worried things could get a bit awkward on this front.

When asked if this was a fun experience, Ben says that he doesn’t know that he would put it in those words, as it is taxing and emotional. The Bachelor star says that not only do the girls cry quite a bit this season, but he does too, seemingly more often than he would like to admit.

What about the kissing? Ben has said he wasn’t going to be kissing as many bachelorettes this season as some guys have in past seasons, but it’s clear there definitely are some frisky moments. When Jimmy asked whether Higgins kissed more or less than 10 ladies, Ben laughed and declined to answer.

Kimmel always makes a prediction about the final four, which miraculously almost always matches what Reality Steve’s spoilers detail in terms of the last few ladies. Did Jimmy follow that same pattern this season? Though Jimmy joked that he would love to see Haley and Emily Ferguson as the final two, he ultimately chose Caila Quinn, Olivia Caridi, Lauren Bushnell, and JoJo Fletcher.

Though sometimes the “Bachelor Nation” leads have a hard time keeping a straight face during this segment with Jimmy Kimmel, Ben did a pretty good job. Jimmy then picked JoJo and Lauren as the final two, initially picking Fletcher as Ben’s final rose recipient, then switching and picking Bushnell. Given Reality Steve’s Bachelor spoilers about Ben’s pick, viewers surely get a bit of a chuckle out of Kimmel’s predictions.

Episode 2 airing on Monday, January 11, brings the first dates of the season for Higgins, and host Chris Harrison teased a few tidbits via Yahoo! TV. Chris calls Ben one of the most sincere, caring, and genuine bachelors they’ve ever had, and Harrison says there is a ton of romance this season. In fact, he says this season might have more romance than any other season they’ve had.

There are definitely some interesting women to watch this season, with Lace and Olivia making it clear they’re willing to get pretty aggressive. Many are buzzing about twins Emily and Haley, and then there are Becca Tilley and Amber James, back for another shot after appearing on Chris Soules’ season last year. Reality Steve’s spoilers do tease that Ben falls pretty hard for one particular lady this season, and fans will be curious to see if he’s got it right.

Tune in to ABC’s The Bachelor 2016 season airing Monday nights this winter, with Bachelor Live shows airing each Monday in January, to see just how Season 20 goes with Ben Higgins in charge of handing out roses. Will he find his future wife in this batch of bachelorettes as viewers hope?
