A restaurant in the middle of London’s SOHO, popular with stars like Gwyneth Paltrow and Katy Perry, now has something else that makes it stand out — crotch-height peep holes in the stall doors of the ladies’ restroom. The restaurant Dean Street Townhouse was recently outed as having holes perfect for peeping in the stall doors that were stuffed with damp toilet paper.
The Daily Mail reported that an Oxford University student heard stories about the holes in the stall doors, and went to check it out herself. Becca Meier was disgusted when she found a crotch-level hole in each stall door in the bathroom at the hip eatery.
‘The fact that they were so discreet as well, it’s an invasion of privacy and it’s horrible. They were tiny but big enough for somebody to see through. You weren’t able to see them until you were sat down on the actual toilet, they were crotch height and very discreet,” Meier told the student paper The Tab.

Meier brought the holes to the attention of the manager, who was equally horrified.
“He was very apologetic and kept going on about how horrible it was. I wouldn’t say that his initial reaction was shocked, but he did say he was concerned. Within minutes from my complaint he had told maintenance and the holes were filled with white industrial plaster. I asked them who they thought it was and they didn’t know. They had literally no idea who had done it.”
Manager Mariano Camerlingo has said that security will be increased at the restaurant, and that this event was embarrassing.
“We have CCTV on our staircase but not in the actual bathrooms. But we do have security on the door. We take things seriously here.”

The Mirror says that the restaurant has promised that security has been increased, and that patrons should not be concerned to use the toilets.
The manager has promised that there are now checks in place to make sure nothing like this happens again.
“We have regular toilet checks and I know that no men would have gone in there. I have no idea who it could have been. In any case, my customers are my priority and I have taken responsibility. My maintenance team have now rectified the issue again, but we will make sure to keep a close eye on our security and any further developments.”

The Sun said that Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Moss, Katy Perry, and Anne Hathaway are regulars at the swanky boîte. No woman would accept peep holes in the stall door, but celebrities who are guarded about privacy are even more particular.

Sources have confirmed that the invasion of privacy peep holes have been dealt with.
Do you find it odd that the same size holes were drilled in each stall door and nobody noticed?
