Jessa Duggar Seewald Celebrates First Christmas With Spurgeon, Looks Forward To 2016

Jessa Duggar Seewald is a first-time mom, and she is soaking up every single milestone with her son, Spurgeon. This past week the Duggar family celebrated Christmas, and Seewald had her little guy dressed in style. With all of the heartache the family has suffered through in 2015, the Seewalds are ready to begin 2016. As the new year approaches, the new parents are planning for their future. These are some things you can expect from Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald in the upcoming year, for better or for worse.

The holidays were spent with both the Duggars and Seewalds. According to Entertainment Tonight, Jessa Duggar Seewald took Spurgeon to see both sets of grandparents for the holiday. Her social media account is full of photos from the festivities, and shows just how happy she is with Ben Seewald and Spurgeon. After the emotional rollercoaster Duggar has been on, it was nice for her to slow down and spend time with family celebrating their beliefs and faith. As they move toward the new year, there is plenty to think about. Jessa is all about planning ahead, and it looks like the couple wants to expand their family sooner rather than later. It has already been discussed that the Seewalds want a big family, but just how big are we talking?

By appearing in the recent TLC specials, Jessa Duggar Seewald was able to share the birth of Spurgeon with the world. Fans of 19 Kids and Counting have been disappointed since the show’s cancellation earlier this year. Everyone wanted to follow Jessa’s pregnancy, and that was taken away. Fans got to see the birth of Spurgeon on Jill & Jessa: Counting On, which aired the past three Sundays on the TLC network. The entire labor was shown, and it proved that Seewald did, indeed, have a home birth. She was photographed in the hospital shortly after the baby was born because she needed a blood transfusion. According to Us Weekly, the entire Duggar family was concerned about Jessa and the amount of blood lost after childbirth. As it turns out, nothing too serious happened, and the Seewalds still want to have more children.

After the experience of childbirth, Jessa Duggar Seewald still wants to expand her family. They have been talking about adoption for a while, and it looks like they may want to adopt more than one child. Seewald has talked about wanting a big family, but not wanting to give birth to all of the children herself. The fact that they are open to adoption speaks volumes about what they are looking toward in life and how much they love people. Jessa has always been one of the more dominant sisters in the Duggar family, and it looks like her assertiveness is paying off in the world outside of the Duggar home. While scandal has rocked their family, Jill and Jessa have been able to move on with their lives and begin their own families.

As 2016 rolls in, Jessa Duggar Seewald is busy laying out goals for her family. Will they conceive another child or go on to start the adoption process? Right now, there are no pregnancy rumors surrounding either of the Duggar daughters, but that could change soon. Spurgeon is growing too fast, and while Seewald is enjoying hitting the milestones with him, there may be a bit of a push to get pregnant again right away. For now, the Seewalds wish for a blessed and less complicated 2016. After a year like they’ve had, there is no question as to whether or not they will be happy to see 2015 come to an end. Who knows, Jessa Duggar Seewald may end up pregnant again before older sister Jill in the new year!
