In Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Luke Skywalker has disappeared and Leia has created The Resistance to fight against The First Order. The First Order is the new version of the Dark Side. While fighting The First Order, Leia is continuing her search for her brother Luke. They have found a piece of the map that will lead The Resistance to Luke, but they must find the rest of it before they can find Luke and destroy the Dark Side forever. A small robot called the BB-8 Droid is holding a small, but vital, piece of the map to Luke. While the First Order and Resistance chase after the small droid to obtain the map piece, a scavenger named Ray finds the droid and helps it find its way to town.

Star Wars: What The Experts Say

According to Rotten Tomatoes,Star Wars is full of action and new faces, while bringing in familiar famous faces as well. Rotten Tomatoes clearly enjoyed Star Wars and had nothing negative to say about it. The movie was reportedly full of excitement and energy and you can almost never go wrong with that. The review seems to look at Star Wars as a simple movie that can easily be understood through the action and thrills of the battles. According to The New Yorker,Star Wars brought back the Force and helped remind everyone of the heart of Star Wars. They saw the purpose of this installment of Star Wars and how it ties the last episode and the next together. While this is important, each episode of Star Wars should have a purpose that is more than connecting two pieces.

Star Wars: My Review

While Star Wars had a thrill to it, the episode lacked old characters and kept the audience wondering where they were. Leia, Han Solo, and C3P-O all came in halfway through this episode of Star Wars. R2-D2 only came into the episode at the end when he showed the main characters the remainder of the map to Luke Skywalker. The lack of old characters in this installment of Star Wars takes away the effect of the timeless Star Wars episodes.

This episode of Star Wars also lacked the usual connection between the viewers and characters. Throughout this episode of Star Wars, I felt as though the movie was there, but there were no engaging features. I felt as though I had wasted my money on a movie I did not even see. The movie seems to be a drawn out way to tell people Leia and the Resistance needed to find a map to Luke. This installment of Star Wars does nothing else for the series and shows people a simple version of what Star Wars could be. Star Wars: The Force Awakens could have been so much better and much more involved. Star Wars: The Force Awakens most likely only made so much money due to the anticipation it created for the fans, some of whom bought tickets months in advance. These fans may not have considered that it has been a long time since a Star Wars movie was made, writers are probably different, and the story lacks continuity. Many fans were hoping for another Star Wars just as amazing as the last and I’m sure many were greatly disappointed. The fans of Star Wars would not have been disappointed if they had waited to see it until they knew more about it. In my opinion, Star Wars: The Force Awakens was a bust and failure due to too many changes to the characters and a lack of old characters.
