Khloe Kardashian Ready To Walk Out On Lamar Odom Again?

The complicated marriage of former NBA star Lamar Odom and reality television star Khloe Kardashian may be on the rocks again. At least, if the rumors are true.

In the wake of Lamar Odom’s near-fatal early October overdose in a Nevada brothel, Khloe Kardashian cancelled the estranged couple’s divorce proceedings and took over his business affairs. By November, Lamar Odom’s cognitive function recovered enough to make his own medical decisions. According to TMZ, Lamar’s motor skills and memory are also on the mend. Just before Christmas, Lamar took three steps without the aid of a walker, and is able to recognize medical staff. All of this suggests that Lamar is slowly recovering from the series of strokes that nearly ended his life. In fact, Lamar’s recovery is going so well that sources told TMZ he will be moved to a rehab facility soon — which may complicate his relationship with Khloe Kardashian.

Sources told Radar Online that the strain of managing Lamar Odom’s life while keeping up with her other responsibilities is putting too much strain on Khloe Kardashian, and she’s escaping in all the wrong ways. Apparently, Khloe Kardashian’s heavy drinking and hard partying ways have her friends and family worried that Khloe is on a downward spiral. Khloe is worried too, so she’s decided to pull away from Lamar Odom and resume her relationship with James Harden.

Which sounds great for Khloe’s piece of mind, except there doesn’t seem to be any truth to it.

Khloe Kardashian has indicated several times that her reconciliation with Lamar Odom is rooted in duty, not romance. According to Hollywood Life, Khloe admitted that when she filed for divorce in 2013, she was hoping to shock Lamar Odom into getting sober. When that tactic didn’t work, Khloe had to decide whether to give up and watch Lamar sink deeper into addiction, or move on. Khloe made her choice in July, 2015, when she and Lamar Odom signed the documents to finalize their divorce.

“Everyone kept saying to me, ‘you have to use the divorce card,’ and that’s what will get him to finally make a decision. I did that and when it didn’t work, I was like ‘Okay, I don’t know if I really wanted that divorce,’ so at first, it was really hard for me to let go and I kinda let it linger.”

Khloe Kardashian admitted to using binge drinking to cope with the death of her father, Robert Kardashian Sr., in 2003, and admitted that she might have needed rehab if Kourtney Kardashian didn’t step in. Now, Khloe insists that she uses journaling and exercise to cope with stress and keep depression at bay.

There haven’t been any reports of Khloe out partying, but she has posted several gym selfies to her Instagram account. In fact, between battling a staph infection that sidelined her for most of November, promoting her new book, Strong Looks Better Naked, and Lamar Odom, Khloe seems intent on keeping herself too busy to even consider slipping back into bad habits. And she’s taking on even more business responsibilities.

According to Gossip Cop, Khloe Kardashian is on deck to host Revenge Body with Khloe Kardashian,a new E! makeover series. Revenge Body with Khloe Kardashian will follow two people per episode as they receive mentorship from Khloe and a group of trainers for a full-body makeover. Revenge Body will air sometime in 2016.

So far, there haven’t been any signs that Khloe is about to abandon Lamar Odom, either. According to TMZ, while Khloe spent Christmas day playing doting auntie with niece, North West, and nephew, Mason Disick, she spent the day after Christmas with Lamar Odom at Cedars-Sinai hospital.

Based on Khloe’s statements, there will come a day when her divorce from Lamar Odom is back on the table, but that seems to be a problem for 2016 Khloe Kardashian.
