‘Bojack Horseman’ Fans Patiently Await Season 3

Netflix series BoJack Horseman has become one of the most loved shows on the Internet. The first season debuted in 2014 and opened to mixed, but mostly good reviews. Marlow Stern of the Daily Beast thought that the show had promise.

“Some jokes fall flat, a few scenarios seem uninspired, and Arnett’s horse does seem strikingly similar to his hilarious man-child/magician Gob in Arrested Development, but this bizarre dreamscape where humans and anthropomorphic animals commingle and cohabitate is filled with promise, providing a fun, delightfully gonzo take on Hollyweird.”

However, David Wiegand of the San Francisco Chronicle thought BoJack Horseman suffered from bad writing. Matthew Gilbert of the Boston Globe thought the series felt completely dated. Most critics, even those who gave the show good reviews, had no idea how much the show would evolve.

The second season of BoJack Horseman became not only funnier, but it was darker as well. The series showed that the characters had problems just like the rest of us. At times, the show became downright sad, especially when we see BoJack’s past and how he was rejected by his parents. The reviews of Season 2 showed a remarkable improvement from Season 1.

“BoJack Horseman is somehow one of TV’s funniest comedies and most affecting dramas all in one weird, addictive little package,: said Alan Sepinwall of HitFix.

Sepinwall, like others, noted that BoJack is so fundamentally different from anything that came before it that its brilliance took a while to become clear. BoJack has become proof that before shutting a show down, people need to give it time to develop.

In July, Deadline revealed that BoJack Horseman was renewed for a third season.

“Netflix has renewed animated adult comedy Bojack Horseman for Season 3 and set premiere dates for several series, including Longmire and Aziz Ansari’s comedy, which now has a title, Master Of None. Bojack Horseman will return with 12 new episodes in 2016, the streaming network said today during the TCA summer tour.”

Twitter is excited for the upcoming season of BoJack Horseman.

The BoJack Horseman board on Reddit is filled with Season 3 predictions.

“He’ll become president and his plane will be called Air Horse One. It won’t be their best season, but on the upside it won’t be their worst,” says Randomd0g.

“Hank Hippopopalous will come back and do a ‘cross-over’ episode with Mr. Peanutbutter, during which he’ll get into it with Diane again and possibly do something inappropriate with Mia McKibbin, that mouse Todd was rivals with,” says TheMinister707.

The third season of BoJack Horseman has a lot riding on it. TV Guide just named BoJack Horseman as one of the top 20 shows this year.

“But in its sophomore outing, the Netflix series fully embraced the dark side, transforming into an achingly accurate examination of what it’s like to live with depression – and yet, somehow, still managing to be laugh-out-loud funny.”

There has been no exact release date set for the new season of BoJack Horseman. However, many people are speculating that the new episodes will arrive in either January or February in the upcoming new year. Are you a fan of BoJack Horseman? Let us know in the comments section.
