Selena Gomez Canoodling With Niall Horan: Taylor Swift & Justin Bieber Factor Into New Couple — Sorry, Jelena Fans
Selena Gomez had her name associated with Justin Bieber for years. And even though they broke up, fans of “Jelena” (Justin plus Selena) just can’t seem to let it go. But now Gomez appears to be trying to make them Belieb that it’s over with Bieber by piling on the PDA with One Direction’s Niall Horan, reported Hollywood Life.
Niall and Selena were seen together following the finale of The X Factor. Horan performed with One Direction for their bon voyage song prior to taking a hiatus. But it helped Niall to recover with Gomez there to cheer him on and party with him following the performance.
Selena and the One Direction star also were observed in London at The Edition Hotel and exited together. What was Gomez doing in London after having just performed in New York City at the Jingle Ball? According to reports, Selena made the voyage specifically for her new boyfriend. In addition, the 23-year-old pop princess was spotted sporting a too-big coat that some say looks suspiciously like Horan’s, who simultaneously was wearing only a suit jacket instead of his coat.
So has Gomez become a devoted One Direction band member follower? As further evidence, Selena herself even shared on social media that Louis Tomlinson’s sister Lottie was the one responsible for Gomez’s uber-glamorous makeup and hair that evening.
“So just walked past selena, niall, grimmy and the contestants backstage at x factor?? Trying to keep my cool..!!” shared an excited eyewitness.
Adding to the buzz surrounding Gomez and Horan as the hot new couple of the month, the two were seen getting handsy at Santa Monica Pier and canoodling at the birthday party for Jenna Dewan Tatum.
Taylor is famed for her Swift Squad, and Gomez is an extra-special member of it. Because Taylor dislikes Bieber, reports are swirling that Swift is determined to prevent Selena and Justin from renewing their romance. And one way that Taylor did that is to provide the original introduction between Niall and Gomez, figuring that a change in her best friend’s focus would distract her from considering providing Bieber with the opportunity to reconcile.
As for whether Selena and Horan are actually dating?
“Niall and Selena were seen kissing in the middle of the club, in front of everyone,” said one observer.
As evidence, fans point out that Selena and Justin had some steamy moments recently in Beverly Hills, which happened right before Niall suddenly appeared in her life. Watch below.

And Gomez has expressed concern as well, a source told Hollywood Life.
“In the past, Justin has always had a hold on her. She’s telling herself she’s strong, but it’s hard not to worry it could happen again. Right now she wants to give things with Niall a chance and doesn’t want Justin to confuse her.”
Moreover, Selena told Bieber that her romance with Horan occurred “naturally,” added the insider.
“She explained to Justin that it was never her intention to hurt him and that things with Niall just happened naturally,” the source revealed to Hollywood Life. “She begged him not to be angry at Niall and not to think that he tried to deliberately try and betray him. Selena told him that Niall never tried to go behind his back, and that, had she been in a committed relationship with Justin, this never would have happened in the first place.”
