‘Walking Dead’ Star Bitten: Norman Reedus Attacked By Fan At Zombie Convention
Walking Dead star Norman Reedus was bitten by an overzealous fan during a recent zombie convention. Reedus, who portrays apocalyptic heartthrob, Daryl Dixon, on the hit AMC series, was unharmed by the attack.
Norman Reedus did not press charges after The Walking Dead fan bit him on the chest, MSN reports. Fortunately for the actor, the bite did not break the skin. Shocked fans at the zombie convention quickly pointed out that biting television stars is not acceptable behavior, even at conventions for “the undead.”

Robin Grover, the fan who bit Reedus, apologized via Twitter and said that she was just overcome with emotion after meeting her favorite Walking Dead star. Grover was banned from the Walker Stalker Con for life. The convention was held at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, New Jersey over the past weekend.

During the Walker Stalker zombie convention, Norman reportedly took the time to pose for selfies with fans and to sign autographs. The popular fan slogan, “Norman Reedus Bite Me,” appeared on the shirts of many female fans at the zombie convention. The attack by Grover caused some fans to be concerned that Reedus and other Walking Dead stars would begin shying away from mingling with fans at promotional events for the show.
Robin Grover‘s Twitter account is still active, but her posts are visible only to confirmed followers. A report on Spreadit about the Walking Dead star being bitten, shared a screenshot of the tweet published by the fan after the zombie convention incident.
“Harleygurl68: Finally meet the love of my life, and get banned from the rest of the CON and lose two more $100 photo ops with him because I lost my mind… got so excited standing beside him… & just turned my head and bit him! I don’t know what came over me. It wasn’t my intention to hurt him. I’m sorry Norman!”
Walker Stalker Convention security guards and the police were immediately called to the Norma Reedus biting scene after Grover released her teeth from the star’s shirt. He told police that he was not harmed, had no need to go the hospital, and refused to press charges. The Daryl Dixon actor reportedly “has a habit” of licking his fans when meeting them at events; apparently to their great delight. After Robin Grover had been escorted away, Reedus resumed his meet and greet session with fans of the show.
The Walking Dead mid-season finale has left fans eager to see what happens next when the series returns on February 10. The last we saw of Daryl Dixon, he was stopped alongside the road by a group of well-armed bikers eager to take everything that he, Sasha, and Abraham had. The trio was rushing by to Alexandria to help their clan. Rick was attempting to lead Carl, Judith, and a small group of pals to safety after adorning the group in bed sheet ponchos covered in zombie guts.
