Man’s Facebook Post About ‘Cheating’ On His Wife Goes Viral And People Love It

A man from Utah has gotten a lot of social media attention lately, and it’s all because of a post he put on Facebook two days ago. The problem is that the attention he’s getting and the content of his post don’t necessarily match. Jason Hewlett posted about cheating on his wife and everyone is actually loving him for it and making the post go viral.

As Fox 13 wants everyone to realize though, it isn’t exactly what you may think it is.

Jason Hewlett posted a picture of a woman at Target, and proceeded to make an extremely long post about how he “sort of cheated” on his wife. He went into a huge description of why he was at Target and the woman who ended up catching his eye.

“Kind of embarrassed to admit this, but I think I sort of cheated on my wife today. To explain what I mean, I was at Target getting a few manly things, you know – eyebrow tweezers, toenail clippers, beard trimmers, mustache molding waxes, some beef jerky, sardines, trail mix, a loofah – and as I went to pay I saw this woman in line that knocked me out. I thought, ‘Wow, some lucky guy is with her'”

He even posted a picture of her.

Jason Hewlett, who lists himself as an entertainer, keynote speaker, and master of ceremonies, then went into more detail. On his official Facebook page, he revealed the next part of his post that caused it to go so viral and win him praise.

“…and in a split second I realized it was my wife!”

Yes, he just so happened to be in the same store at the same time as his wife, and even ended up in the same line as her. He said it was odd to see her “living her life” without realizing that her husband was standing just feet behind her.

Hewlett said that he kept trying to get her attention with text messages, but she wouldn’t respond. She was busy looking for coupons in her purse for the items she was buying. He gave up trying to get her attention and just stood back to realize how much he loved her.

“First off, I was taken aback by how amazingly beautiful she is once again. I believe I see it often, but today, not knowing she was at the store, I saw her with new eyes and just couldn’t believe I get to be her fella. It made me blush – but no one could see it under my huge monster Movember beard.”

Hewlett wanted to point out that your spouse does lead a different life when they aren’t always around you. They live their daily life and go through things, small or large, that you may never ever know they are doing.

As of this writing, the post had been shared over 337,000 times, gotten over 39,000 comments, and receiver over 217,000 likes. Some people think that he is being misleading with some of the things he wrote, but others believe him to be nothing but sweet and providing a point that others should realize.

Realize that the one you love is amazing and beautiful and incredible at all times. Look at them with “fresh eyes” and remind yourself just how lucky you are to have them in your life.

What about Hewlett’s wife?

Well, Tami Spenst Hewlett has seen her husband’s post go viral and really can’t believe all of the attention it has garnered. Considering hundreds of thousands of people have commented on it, she did make a post of her own to address some things.

“To anyone who cares for CLARIFICATION from the WIFE of this amazing man… No, he wasn’t in the doghouse and never is!

“He probably did not recognize me that day because I actually got ready, he usually sees me in a braid and in my ‘good sweats’ and he loves me that way too!

“Wandering eye??? I trust him 100% I’m grateful that he sees the beauty in all people. He often pays compliments to women in front of me and I love that about him. I am secure enough with myself and I know who he chooses.”

She had a lot more to say on her Facebook page, and even called her husband “dweebie,” but it’s all out of love. Tami Hewlett had to touch on those being very negative and just let everyone know that the Golden Rule should always be followed.

Jason Hewlett wasn’t trying to be the “entertainer” when he made his now viral post on Facebook about almost cheating on his wife. He was just letting the world know that he loves his wife and always will. More so, he’s letting the world know that they should also have more love in their hearts, too.
