Dating Site Strictly For Disney Fans Opens For Mickey To Find His Minnie

The internet is full of dating sites that try to bring together different groups of people so they can find that special someone. Some are aimed at farmers, and a few are aimed at the Jewish community. There are also sites aimed at Christians only. Now there is one to help Mickey find his Minnie, as a website called Mouse Mingle is aimed at Disney fans and finding love.

A brand new website, mousemingle.com, claims to be “the place to connect people who love Disney and who want that same magic in their relationship.”

“MouseMingle.com is dedicated to Disney fans. Traditional internet dating sites don’t understand the passion people have for all things Disney. But we do.”

You don’t have to be anywhere near a Disney Park to find someone who is similar to you and has your same interests. Disney fans exist from one end of the globe to the other, and that’s what creator Dave Tavres wants to get across to everyone.

Upon going through the sign-up process for Mouse Mingle, you need to give some personal information about you as a person. That’s normal for just about all dating sites, but they don’t ask you what your favorite Disney Park is, your favorite Disney songs, or what your “Disney nerd level” may be.

Tavres is a self-proclaimed software geek from Culver City, California, and that’s less than 50 miles from the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim. He said that there is no reason that there can’t be another dating site out there, but one for Disney fans.

“There’s a dating site for pot lovers and JDate for Jewish people. The first time I saw Farmers Only I thought it was a Saturday Night Live sketch.”

According to LA Mag, Tavres actually used to live in Anaheim and worked as a Cast Member for Disneyland. He was an engineer on the Disneyland Railroad and loved his job, but life brings up new things and changes need to be made.

Tavres admits that he could not find a lot of dates while working at Disneyland. That was when he was surrounded by thousands upon thousands of people every single day, but that’s not the type of person he is.

“I’m not the guy who hits on women at the park, and there’s no flag that says, ‘hey I’m single.’ I found it hard to find women who were as interested in Disney as I am.”

Mouse Mingle allows anyone and everyone to go through the profiles and search through them to see who is on the site. You can view user profiles and photos for free, but if you want to contact someone, then you’ll have to pay a monthly membership fee of $12.55.

That may seem like an odd price, but the “55” in the price tag does have a purpose. For those who are hardcore Disney fans, you’ll realize that 1955 is the year that Disneyland first opened its doors to guests.

There are countless Disney fans across the world from Walt Disney World to Disneyland, from Orlando to Paris. Sometimes it’s easy for one Disney fan to find another by different means, but the internet provides an easy and convenient way to sift through Jafars or Captain Hooks to find your Prince Charming.

Dave Tavres is a lover of Disney and knows there are many others out there as well who simply want to find true love. Mouse Mingle is a way that people can do that with the first true dating site devoted to Disney fans.
