Gwyneth Paltrow And Chris Martin Bond Over Thanksgiving Dinner

Gwyneth Paltrow is a very private person when it comes to her family and children, even though she has an Instagram account. Chris Martin, the frontman of Coldplay, is just as private, as he doesn’t share much about his life on social media. In fact, when they announced that they were divorcing, it came as a big shock to the world. But since then, they have worked on reestablishing a great co-parenting relationship.

And it sounds like Gwyneth Paltrow wants a relationship with Chris as the father of her children. Just because they didn’t work romantically doesn’t mean they can’t work as friends. And she is making an effort to ensure this relationship works. This holiday season, the former family was brought together.

According to a new People report, Gwyneth Paltrow is now sharing a picture of the entire family, and in the picture, she reveals that she did spend Thanksgiving with her ex-husband, Chris Martin. Chris was present to support his kids, Apple, 11, and Moses, 9, and the family was joined by many family members and friends. It looked like quite the Thanksgiving dinner.

“Happy Thanksgiving from us to you!” Gwyneth revealed for the picture she shared on Instagram of the entire family, including Coldplay frontman and ex-husband Chris Martin.

The two announced their split in March 2014 and have been working amicably to split up since then. They have moved on romantically since the split, which means it is easy for them to be in the same room together for Thanksgiving, especially for the sake of their children. And it sounds like they enjoying making an effort to spend time together as a family, even though they now have significant others. Just a few days prior to this massive Thanksgiving dinner, Gwyneth and Martin were spotted at an upscale West Village hotspot The Lion with their kids and her mom and brother.

The family seemed “super happy and chummy” and “looked like a happy, regular family having a big pre-Thanksgiving dinner,” an onlooker revealed to People magazine back then.

Gwyneth Paltrow has moved on with American Horror Story co-creator Brad Falchuk, and Chris has moved on with actress Annabelle Wallis. He was previously linked to Jennifer Lawrence.

A few years ago, when the couple decided to split, Martin was feeling depressed and sad. He wasn’t inspired to write music after his marriage to Gwyneth Paltrow failed, and he was looking for a way to feel better. One of his friends gave him a stack of books, including Man’s Search for Meaning, a memoir by psychiatrist and Holocaust survivor Viktor Frankl, and a volume by the 13th-century Persian poet Rumi. And apparently, there was one poem in that book that simply changed the way he was looking at things in his life.

“It kind of changed my life,” Chris Martin says of the poem “The Guest House,” according to Rolling Stone, adding, “It says that everything that happens to you is OK. The idea is to accept what happens to you and not run away from anything — and trust that things will blossom and become colorful.”

Martin was able to get back on his feet, and he has now created another Coldplay album, their seventh album. It is due out December 4, and it is called A Head Full of Dreams. And this dream will document his journey of coming back from a road of heartache and anxiety.

“It’s all true,” Martin says to Rolling Stone, adding, “It’s about love and acceptance and embracing what happens to you. It’s quite a hippie album. All of our records were a journey to get to this one.”
