WWE Rumors, Spoilers: Huge Surprise Coming For Winner Of WWE Title Tournament At ‘Survivor Series’

Survivor Series is just a few days away, and there is actually still a lot up in the air as to what could end up happening. One of the biggest matters at hand is the WWE World Heavyweight Title tournament, which has just four superstars remaining. Many have thought that Roman Reigns would clearly be walking out of the event with the belt, but there could be a huge surprise since it may be another former member of The Shield.

It’s well known that WWE is not one to let a lot of their backstage news leak to the public if they can help it. Plans for Roman Reigns to lead the company into WrestleMania 32 as the WWE Champion were in place and very well could still be in place, however, there may be a slight tangent in them now.

According to Cageside Seats, Dean Ambrose may be the one who ends up walking out of Survivor Series with the belt.

Apparently, there is a huge backstage push for Ambrose to go through the semifinals into the finals and win the whole tournament. It’s not totally out of the question, and it’s one that is gaining a lot of support from all those within WWE.

As reported by WWE.com, there are just four superstars remaining in the WWE World Title tournament after it started with a field of 16. Some big names have been involved in it, but the four left have persevered.

Ambrose has made his way through two hard-fought matches already. First, he took out Tyler Breeze in a very entertaining match on Monday Night Raw. Next up was Dolph Ziggler, who was seen as a favorite for the semifinals by a lot of people.

Now, the semifinals match is Dean Ambrose vs. Kevin Owens, which is a feud that was rumored to be taking place anyway. Rumors suggested that Ambrose and Owens would feud over the Intercontinental Title before the tournament came into existence.

That feud could still happen, but first, the tournament needs to conclude.

Now, if Dean Ambrose does end up winning the WWE Title at Survivor Series, that doesn’t necessarily mess up the company’s plans for WrestleMania 32.

If WWE is still planning on having Roman Reigns lead the charge in 2016 and go into WrestleMania 32 as WWE Champion, it can still happen. There are pay-per-view events in December, January, and February before the big one in early April.

There has also been talk that Dean Ambrose could turn heel at Survivor Series and turn on Reigns in the finals. Ambrose wins the title, and it sets up a perfect feud for the next couple of months over the belt.

Reigns could end up winning it at Royal Rumble in January or WWE FastLane in February. It’s not out of the question for WWE to do that sort of thing and then carry on to the big event on April 3.

The only problem is that WWE would have to be building side feuds for Ambrose and Reigns at the same time. That would then give then a program to create and have enough time to build up matches that mean something at WrestleMania 32.

Survivor Series is not a stacked card, and it’s one that may seem a little lackluster to some. Still, there is a lot of intrigue for the WWE World Heavyweight Title tournament and who could walk out as the champion. Will it be Roman Reigns or a shocking twist of Dean Ambrose?
