Watch Tennessee Titans Vs. Jacksonville Jaguars Live Online: Streaming Info, NFL Thursday Night Football

Football fans can watch live online when the cellar-dwelling Tennessee Titans travel to Jacksonville, Florida, to face the Jaguars, the team just one game ahead of them in the flagging AFC South, one of two divisions in the National Football League that stands a good chance of sending its winner into the playoffs with a losing record. So, even though the NFL Thursday Night Football game kicks off Week 11 with a matchup of struggling teams, the game amazingly carries very real playoff implications.

Tennessee come in at 2-7, with an overtime victory over the New Orleans Saints two weeks ago to go with an opening week win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as all that separates them from utter futility — despite a respectable 13 passing touchdowns against just six interceptions, to go with 1,795 yards through the air, from 22-year-old rookie quarterback Marcus Mariota, the Titans top draft pick this year, second overall, out of the University of Oregon.

At the same time, Jacksonville has not been much better. Second-year, 23-year-old signal-caller Blake Bortles — the Jaguars first-round pick out of Central Florida, third overall, in 2014 — has led the Jaguars to a 3-6 record, winning their most recent game by two points over the Baltimore Ravens.

But the division-leading Indianapolis Colts sit just a game better than Jacksonville at 4-4 — and just announced that their own star quarterback, Andrew Luck, will miss at least one game, and likely more, with an injury for the second time this season. Luck will sit out this Sunday and is listed on a “week-to-week” basis.

In other words, whichever team wins on Thursday will be have a genuine opportunity to make a run at the AFC South title, with even a brief winning streak in their last six games.

After Tennessee fired Coach Ken Whisenhunt on November 3 — after the former Arizona Cardinals coach compiled a sobering 3-20 record in his stint with the Titans — the team appointed 53-year-old Mike Mularkey as interim head coach. Of course, Mularkey is a former coach of Jacksonville, but was sent packing after a 2-14 Jaguars season in 2012.

On Thursday, Mularkey makes his first trip back to his old stomping ground.

“It was a situation where a new owner came in, hired a new GM, and they wanted to go in a different direction,” Mularkey said on Wednesday. “But I just wish we would have had more time.”

Mularkey debuted in spectacular fashion as the new Titans coach, guiding the team to the thrilling, overtime win against the Saints. The following week, his new team trailed the undefeated Carolina Panthers by just a touchdown after three quarters, but failed ti score in the second half at all as Carolina raced away in the fourth with 10 points to deal Mularkey and the Titans a 27-10 defeat.

Since the Jaguars came into the NFL in 1995, they have played their divisional rival Titans 41 times, winning 18 and losing 23, dating back to when the Titans were still playing in Houston and were called the Oilers, a name they kept in Tennessee until 1999 when they changed to the Titans.
