Chris Brown Says He Wants A ‘Soulmate,’ Fans Slam ‘Sorry’ Singer Over Karrueche Tran Breakup

Chris Brown may be focused on promoting his upcoming album and providing for his 1-year-old daughter, Royalty, but it appears Chris Brown is feeling lonely when it comes to comes to his dating life.

Chris Brown took to Twitter on Friday to reflect on his single status, telling fans that while being single has its benefits when you’re not looking for a relationship, it can be “boring” when you want “a soulmate.”

While some fans applauded Brown for his desire to want to settle down with someone special, others shamed Chris for “complaining” about wanting a real relationship when his infidelity caused the demise of his relationship with longtime girlfriend Karrueche Tran.

Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran called off their on-again, off-again relationship in March after Karrueche Tran learned that Chris Brown had fathered a child with model Nia Guzman. While Brown maintains that he and Tran were not dating when his daughter was conceived, Karrueche took to Twitter to publicly announce her split from Chris Brown.

One fan took to Instagram to shame Chris Brown’s Twitter message, telling followers, “I can’t believe [Chris Brown] tweeted this cuz when he was in a relationship he was acting single so…”

Other followers shared similar feelings regarding Chris Brown’s post about being single, with one fan pointing out that it was Brown’s own actions that caused him to lose Karrueche Tran.

“This is why I can’t support him anymore,” one fan argues, “You make bad decisions continuously and then cry on social media. If you know better, do better.”

Chris Brown’s emotional post comes just days after Brown released the music video for his collaborative track with Rick Ross titled, “Sorry,” which is widely believed to have been inspired by Chris’ former relationship with Karrueche Tran.

In the track, Chris Brown apologizes to a former girlfriend for taking advantage of her forgiveness before admitting that he was unfaithful in their relationship.

A source close to Chris Brown revealed to Urban Islandz that Rick Ross’ people reached out to Brown for a feature on the song given his recent split from Karrueche.

“It was definitely written for Karrueche,” Chris Brown’s insider argues, “and I’m sure she listens to it. They don’t talk right now but you would have to be a person with no heart not to be moved by a heartfelt joint like this.”

While Chris Brown may be feeling lonely after his split from Karrueche Tran, the model recently opened up about her own struggles to move on romantically from Chris Brown during an interview with Kontrol Magazine.

When asked if she has met anyone new since splitting from Chris Brown in March, Karrueche admits that she isn’t “mentally” ready to begin dating due to the drama surrounding her breakup from Brown.

“I think people are intimidated by the drama [from my past relationship] and not wanting to deal with it because it’s an ongoing story. I’m very guarded and very to myself.”

While Chris Brown maintains that he also hasn’t explored dating since Karrueche called off their romance eight months ago, Karrueche Tran called out Chris Brown for his “hypocrisy” in August by insisting that Brown has been seen with several women since their split.

“I thought we have all matured and moved on,” Karrueche admits of her split from Brown. “Especially since Chris has been seen with multiple women since the breakup. I don’t want anything to do with any type of violence or negativity,” Karrueche says to TMZ.

Karrueche Tran has yet to respond to Chris Brown’s “Sorry” track and has not commented on Brown’s recent Twitter post.
