Veteran’s Day Sales Of 2015: Find The Best Deals
Veteran’s Day sales are happening now. Retailers will take any excuse to hold a sale, and this year, they’ll offer discounts and coupons on regularly-priced items and clearance starting from the weekend before Veteran’s Day and ending as late as the weekend after the memorial. It’s likely that you’ve already seen a few of these deals, and they’re continuing to get better as the big day comes closer.
Many stores give out extra special deals for veterans as long as they bring their military ID or proof of service. Check with local stores to see if they’re participating. If you’re looking to get some early shopping in, here are some of the places you should visit.
Deals for Everyone
Amazon: Currently, Amazon is offering 20 percent off for select clothing, shoe, and accessory styles. This could be a great time to stock up on winter wear before the weather gets colder. The promotion can be used by applying 20VETERANS at checkout. The deal goes through November 11.
Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft: This little craft store will be holding doorbusters all day long, with the whole store up to 20 percent off. When shopping online, you can take 20 percent off the entire purchase with the code VETSDAY315.
Sears: Take 40 percent off Kenmore appliances and an extra 20 percent off other select items. If you need a new mattress, they’re offering 60 percent off of select types.
Aeropostale: Using the code EMPLOYEE30, anyone can take 30 percent off their entire purchase of clothing and accessories.
Belk: Take up to 65 percent off their entire fall line for both him and her during the Veteran’s Day 2015 sales event.
J.C. Penney: This department store is full of sales. Select home collection styles are 30 to 50 percent off. Then, you can use the coupon code WETHANKU through Wednesday to receive $10 off a purchase of $25 or more or 20 percent off with a J.C. Penney credit card (exclusions may apply). Online, the coupon code 4RVETS will get anyone 15 percent off select purchases.
Carter’s: Take up to 50 percent off everything in the store. Through November 11, you can also take 25 percent off a purchase of $40 or more using the promo code VETDAY25 online or VETDAY15 to take 15 percent off any order less than that.
Deals for Veterans and Active Duty Servicepeople Only
Bed Bath and Beyond: This deal is for servicemen and servicewomen only. They can take 20 percent off their entire purchase in-store only. You must have a military ID or proof of service present at the time of the transaction. Take advantage of this deal through November 11.
Olive Garden: As a veteran, you’ve earned a free meal, and all vets and those on active duty can get one at Olive Garden. Visiting veterans have their choice of a free entree, and those dining with them can take 10 percent off. Texas Roadhouse, Applebee’s, and several other major restaurant chains are also offering free meals with proof of service.
Sears: Aside from the great appliance and mattress savings, those who have or are serving in the military can get 40 percent off regularly-priced home appliances and tools, an extra 10 percent of clearance tools, and an extra 5 percent off clearance home appliances.
Great Clips: Service men and women who enter any Great Clips location on November 11 will receive a free haircut. Those who are not veterans, but want to thank a veteran for their service, can come in and get a “Thank a Veteran Free Haircut Card” to give to a vet, which can be redeemed until December 31.
Home Depot and Lowes: Veterans get 10 percent off their purchases every day. There’s no expiration date on this deal.
Sleep Number: Depending on the purchase made, those who show military ID or proof of service in a Sleep Number store can receive 20 to 30 percent off or $500 to $700 off their purchase. This goes through November 15.
