Jared Fogle Update: 16-Year-Old Girl Claims Head Of Fogle’s Charity Abused Her

A 16-year-old girl, who will appear on an upcoming Dr. Phil episode, claims that the former executive director of Jared Fogle’s charity sexually abused her since she was 14.

People reports that Russell Taylor, who once worked for former Subway spokesman Jared Fogle’s charity as executive director, is accused of hiding cameras in his home that he used to record hundreds of pornographic videos of underage children. One of the victims who was allegedly taken advantage of by Taylor opened up to tell her story. The 16-year-old girl, who only goes by the name Analissa, recently spoke with Dr. Phil about Taylor’s abuse, on a segment of the Dr. Phil show that’s slated to air next week.

“I felt brainwashed and manipulated. He [Taylor] had me convinced that when I turned 16, I was going to have sex with him.”

Taylor served as executive director of the Jared Foundation, a charity organization that was supposed to provide grants to help battle childhood obesity. Yet, Huffington Post reports that the foundation never gave out even one grant, and around 60 percent of the organization’s expenses went to Taylor’s salary.

For the past decade, Taylor spent his days working for nonprofit organizations and visiting schools around the nation to help educate kids on childhood obesity. Outwardly, Taylor appeared to be an upstanding citizen who cared for children, but earlier this year, federal authorities stated that Taylor has a sordid past, filled with making and collecting child pornography.

Taylor, who has been married at least twice, is also the father to two teen sons, and before his incarceration, he used to share numerous photos of his kids via social media. Prior to signing on as the executive director of the Jared Foundation in 2007, Taylor worked as a youth market director in Indianapolis, for the American Heart Association (AHA), from 2004-2007. According to AHA spokeswoman Carrie Thacker, Taylor was never around any children unsupervised during his time with the organization.

“In that position, he worked with school administrators and teachers to organize school-based events. He would not have had unsupervised contact with children at these events.”

In May, Taylor was arrested and charged with sexual exploitation of a child, a related conspiracy charge, and distribution and receipt of child pornography.

When authorities raided Fogle’s Zionsville, Indiana, home in May, it wasn’t for Fogle and his own legal issues with child pornography, but “related to a prior investigation of a former Jared Foundation employee.”

In September, Taylor reached a plea deal with authorities for his sexual exploitation and child pornography charges. The deal mandates that Taylor must plead guilty to the charges and agree to no less than 15 years in federal prison. In turn, the U.S. Attorney will not ask that Taylor spend more than 35 years in prison.

Taylor’s sentence is harsher than Fogle’s, who will spend no more than 12-and-a-half years in prison, possibly less. Yet, authorities indicate that it was mostly Taylor who was recording the underage children and then sharing the footage with Fogle. Taylor’s plea agreement reads as follows.

“The defendant used multiple hidden cameras in his residences to produce received visual depictions of numerous minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct.”

Taylor will remain at a Henderson, Kentucky, detention center until his upcoming sentencing hearing on December 10. Meanwhile, Fogle remains free until his November 17 sentencing hearing.

The teen girl who accused Taylor of sexual assault and abuse decided to come forward after watching a Dr. Phil episode that aired last week, and featured audio that was secretly recorded of Jared Fogle allegedly talking about his interest in sexual relations with children, including several sexual encounters he’s had with minors.
