Khloe Kardashian Speaks Out On Lamar Odom: We’re Not Back Together

Khloe Kardashian is finally speaking out about calling off her divorce to Lamar Odom after the shocking drug overdose that almost ended this life and has left him in the hospital with a long road to recovery. Khloe has been glued to Lamar’s side since his health crisis, and many fans believe that the pair are officially giving their marriage another try after Odom’s near death experience. However, Kardashian tells a very different story.

Khloe Kardashian tells People Magazine that her reasons for calling off her divorce to Lamar Odom have nothing to do with their personal or romantic relationship, but mostly about what is best for them at this moment in order to benefit Lamar as he continues to receive medical treatment and recovery from his overdose.

“It’s out in the media that we are back together, but I wish people understood that’s not in our thought process right now. There are too many other important things, too many medical things. It’s not even in our brains thinking about us as a couple or having a relationship right now.”

Khloe Kardashian reassures fans and critics that she and Lamar Odom aren’t even thinking about what may happen in their marriage in the future, but looking to the present, which is all about getting Odom back to being healthy and happy.

“It’s not anything sexual or intimate. I want to be his support system. Tragedy does make you reassess a lot of things, but when it comes to our relationship, it’s the same, except I’m here supporting him fully.”

However, Kardashian says that no matter what happens with herself and Odom that she’ll always love Lamar, whom she split with back in 2013 after rumors of him cheating, using drugs, and refusing rehab began to surface. It was that love for her estranged husband that drove her to rush to his side upon finding out about his overdose.

“All I knew was I had to get there. I had to get to him and make sure he was okay. I hate that he was in that situation. I wouldn’t want anybody in that situation, especially someone I love and care about.”

Khloe Kardashian has often been considered the most compassionate of her famous family by fans. Khloe has been seen on Keeping Up With The Kardashians helping the homeless, speaking with displaced and abused women, and always offering a shoulder to cry on, especially when it comes to Lamar Odom. Even though the couple had been separated for 2 years, he would still call her and she would listen to his problems and offer kind words — most recently, when Lamar’s best friend, Jamie, died. It is obvious that Khloe still has strong feelings for Lamar, but that doesn’t mean the couple will continue their romance after his recovery.

“I loved him always, and I will always love him. I don’t believe love is fickle. I believe when you love someone, you are allowed to love from afar. You don’t have to be with that person in order to love him.”

Meanwhile, Lamar Odom has a very hard road to recovery in front of him. Not only does he need to heal his body now, but he’ll have to learn to deal with the addiction and life issues that got him in to the situation to begin with, and Khloe Kardashian knows it won’t be easy for her husband to do.

“He has to walk that road by himself, and, most importantly, he has to want to walk that road. I will be there supporting him every step of the way.”
