Nicki Minaj And Meek Mill To Split? Fans Beg Rapper To Dump Boyfriend After Drake Feud Escalates

Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill may have sparked engagement rumors earlier this week, but it looks like Nicki’s fans are growing more concerned about the nature of Minaj’s relationship with Meek Mill as the Philly rapper continues to make headlines for his ongoing feud with Nicki’s label mate, Drake.

Earlier this year, Nicki’s boyfriend found himself at the center of a shade-throwing feud with Drake after accusing Nicki Minaj’s longtime friend and rumored ex of using a ghostwriter on their collaborative track “R.I.C.O.”

While Nicki Minaj chose to stay out of Meek Mill and Drake’s heated diss-track battle, which spawned chart-topping hits “Back to Back” and “Charged Up,” it appears Nicki’s fans are now urging Minaj to end her relationship with Meek Mill because they feel Nicki’s boyfriend is hurting her image.

According to Bossip, the breakup pleas from Minaj’s fans seemed to escalate after Meek Mill took to Instagram to blast rapper Wale’s recent interview, in which Wale disses Meek Mill for attempting to defeat Drake in their ongoing diss-track battle.

One fan took to Twitter to caution Nicki Minaj against continuing to associate herself with Meek Mill, telling Minaj that Meek is too “emotional” and that the rapper will continue to “drag your name through the mud.”

Similarly, another fan petitions Minaj to dump Meek Mill because “someone’s gotta stop him from talking,” while another user adds, “he’s too corny for you. He’s not holding it down right now.”

The outpouring of criticism comes just one day after audio footage of Meek Mill sampling Drake’s diss track, “Back to Back,” appeared online.

While it’s unclear if Nicki Minaj’s beau is planning on using Drake’s track as inspiration for his own diss record, Nicki Minaj has made it clear that she wants nothing to do with Meek and Drake’s feud.

In her interview with GQ earlier this summer, Nicki Minaj spoke out for the first time regarding Meek and Drake’s beef, telling reporters that she didn’t necessarily agree with Meek’s decision to call out her longtime friend on social media.

“And that’s the thing people don’t understand. Meek is a grown a** man. I may not agree with everything he says.”

Nicki gave a similar statement in her interview with the New York Times, telling the publication that she felt torn between having to side with her boyfriend and her close friend, admitting, “They’re men, grown a** men. It’s between them. I hate it. It doesn’t make me feel good. You don’t ever want to choose sides between people you love.”

Nicki Minaj went on to call the entire Drake vs. Meek Mill fiasco “ridiculous” before admitting that she wishes the whole situation would just blow over.

While Meek Mill may have driven a wedge between the typically close Nicki Minaj and Drake, rumors began surfacing earlier this year that Drake dissed Minaj on his track “Diamonds Dancing” on his collaborative mixtape with Future, What A Time To Be Alive.

In the track, Drake raps about a former friend “doing me dirty” by refusing to speak to him after getting into a new relationship.

While the track was widely believed to be about Drake’s feelings of betrayal towards Nicki regarding her relationship with Meek, sources close to Drake later shot down the claims by insisting that if Drake had a problem with Minaj, he wouldn’t let Nicki know by blasting Minaj on a record.

Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill continue to spark engagement rumors after the duo shared Instagram photos of their matching diamonds rings earlier this week. While neither Nicki nor Meek have spoken out regarding the new bling, fans continue to beg Nicki Minaj to drop Meek Mill before they take their relationship to the next level.
