Jared Leto Went To New York Comic Con In Disguise And No One Noticed

Jared Leto has revealed that he went to New York Comic-Con on Sunday. But since he’s playing The Joker in the hugely anticipated Warner Bros. superhero blockbuster Suicide Squad, the actor decided that he needed a disguise to walk the floor on.

Luckily for the Thirty Seconds To Mars singer and Oscar-winning actor, he had the perfect mask to cover his face so that he could parade around the event without being recognised. You can check out Jared Leto’s ingenious New York Comic Con disguise below.

I think we can all admit that Leto nailed going around the event incognito.

Meanwhile, he also took to his Twitter account to not only post a link to his Instagram picture, but he also decided to poke fun at someone who’d dressed up as The Joker at the event, who he then decided to get a picture alongside.

It’s safe to say that the person above dressed as The Joker is probably going to forever be kicking himself for not asking Jared Leto to take off his mask, which resembled the character of Rafiki from The Lion King.

Further images of Jared Leto sneaking around New York Comic Con inside his baboon mask soon started to appear across Twitter, as the actor revealed that he’d been at the comic-book extravaganza all along.

Of course, if Jared Leto had been spotted walking on the floor at New York Comic-Con then he would have almost certainly been mauled to the point of destruction.

Earlier this weekend, Just Jared reported that Jared Leto had been spotted in New York City socializing with famed photographer Terry Richardson, while he has also been photographed gallivanting around the Big Apple all weekend long. However, none of his antics quite matched his Comic Con efforts.

Jared Leto is playing The Joker in Suicide Squad, and fans are going above and beyond to try and find out anymore information regarding the villain’s role in the much-hyped adaptation.

Leto will be joined in the production by Margot Robbie, Will Smith, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Joel Kinnaman, Scott Eastwood, Cara Delevingne, Jay Hernandez, Karen Fukuhara, Common, and Ike Barinholtz. The film has been written and directed by David Ayer, who previously wrote Training Day, as well as directing Harsh Times, Treet Kings, End Of Watch, Sabotage and Fury.

There has been much speculation surrounding Jared Leto’s performance in Suicide Squad, especially since the actor will be compared to the recent portrayals of the iconic character, which came in The Dark Knight and 1989’s Batman, by Heath Ledger and Jack Nicholson, respectively.

Margot Robbie has previously insisted that she was rather “petrified” of Jared Leto during production on the film. Speaking with the NY Daily News, Robbie insisted, “At first it was kind of confronting (to be up close) but now I’m so used to it, I think if I ever saw him out of makeup now I would be really confused.”

She then added, “Actually, I saw him out of makeup once and I was actually petrified of him. I was too scared to go up and didn’t know who that person was, and when he got back into his makeup I was far more comfortable.”

Meanwhile, Will Smith recently admitted that because of Jared Leto’s insistence that he wouldn’t break character during the shoot of Suicide Squad, he has only met the actor as The Joker, and has yet to meet Jared.
