Victoria Beckham: On Upping Her Weight Class And Giving Back

Victoria Beckham has been known over the past two decades for a number of things. These include being Posh Spice of the girl band Spice Girls, being superstar soccer player David Beckham’s gorgeous and talented wife, being a notable fashion designer of her own hot line of apparel, and a beautiful mother to four equally-as-gorgeous children. It’s also worth noting that Victoria has been of a very thin build over the past few years and often creates controversy by enlisting models who are dangerously thin to show her line.

As for her own physique, claims are being made that the ever-poised and classy designer is looking to up her weight a tad. OK! Magazine shares about Victoria’s rumored intentions to get to a healthy goal weight. A source relayed Posh Spice’s wishes for her svelte frame.

“She’s been pushing herself way too far and has lost a very noticeable 5lbs. She’s so over the gaunt size zero look and wants to sex-up her shape.”

The insider adds that she and hubby David have a holiday in the tropics planned, during which she wants to wow him in her swimsuit. Over the years, as mentioned, Victoria has faced scrutiny over her tiny frame. However, the lean beauty responds by noting that it’s due to her ability to control her eating habits and her workout regimen that she has been able to maintain a model-like frame all of the years she’s been in the spotlight. It’s clear that Beckham knows how to keep in top shape after giving birth to four children and looking as slender as she did the first time she graced the stage with her Spice Girls troop.

The publication notes of an interview Victoria gave back in 2006 while on BBC radio, during which she slammed rumors that she has an eating disorder.

“I think there’s a big difference between someone having an eating disorder and someone who is controlled about what they eat. There’s a big difference, and every now and then of course I go out and eat what I like. But I do try to be quite disciplined in the way that I eat.”

Currently, however, the source who spoke with OK! indicates that Beckham is letting the reigns of control go just a little bit in order to gain a few curves for her holidays.

In addition to vacationing, Victoria has been on visits for a different purpose as of late. Beckham visited children in Ethiopia for the UNAIDS cause. The designer has been an ambassador for the efforts since 2014. People Magazine relays information about the visit.

“The mother of four – Brooklyn, 16, Romeo, 13, Cruz, 10, and Harper, 4 – showed off her maternal side, embracing and smiling with children of ALEM.”

ALEM is the charity and support group that Victoria is affiliated with. She clearly was touched by her time spent with the children, and took to Instagram and Twitter to share the moment. The publication also notes that Beckham spent time with women of Entoto Beth Artisan. There she met with artisans that create jewelry to benefit those living with HIV/AIDS in the community of Mt. Entoto.

“Beckham’s humanitarian efforts have not gone unnoticed. The 41-year-old was recently honored in September for her work with UNAIDS at Fashion 4 Development’s First Ladies Luncheon during the U.N. General Assembly in New York City.”

The Beckhams continue to impress with their talent and determination that has clearly been passed down to their children who are sure to follow in their gorgeous parents’ footsteps. Their oldest, Brooklyn, has his sights on Hollywood while the other boys are right into soccer like their Dad. They are certainly the “it” family of London behind the royals.
