Yolanda Foster, Kyle Richards & New ‘Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills’ Cast Have Fun As Yolanda Shares Lyme Disease Battle

Yolanda Foster joined Kyle Richards and several of the newest members of the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills stars on a recent trip amid her Lyme disease battle, which began in 2012. Rocking a new hairdo, Yolanda flew with her friends in a private jet to New York, reported People.

Foster has made it clear that she’s focused on trying to do what she can to find a cure for Lyme disease, which has impacted her physically and emotionally. The 51-year-old reality TV star has tried to maintain a positive attitude, as indicated by this outing with Kyle and two new members of the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills cast, Kathryn Edwards and Erika Jayne.

Foster was traveling to New York for a cause close to her heart, the Global Lyme Alliance Gala. Co-chair for the event is Yolanda’s husband, David Foster.

The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star traveled with her son, Anwar. Yolanda already has two rising supermodel stars as daughters, Bella and Gigi Hadid, and Anwar aspires to join them as a model.

Because of the severity of Yolanda’s Lyme disease, it was not known if Foster would be able to return to the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills (RHOBH) for the upcoming season, reported the Daily Mail.

However, based on the fact that she flew with the other RHOBH stars, it’s assumed that she will return to the reality TV show this season along with the new cast members, such as Erika, known for her dance music career, and Kathryn, who is wed to Donnie Edwards, a retired NFL star. Jayne’s husband is Thomas V. Girardi, who is a lawyer. They will replace Brandi Glanville and Kim Richards.

But amid the fun with the other RHOBH stars, Foster continues to struggle with her health. She has shared her struggles with Lyme disease on social media, addressing those who doubted the severity of her disease.

“People assume you aren’t sick unless they see the sickness on your skin, like scars forming forming a map of all the ways you are hurting,” wrote the reality TV star.

As part of her battle to control her Lyme disease symptoms, Yolanda has decided to eliminate some beauty treatments to go toxic free, reported E! News.

Foster shared that physicians found a silicone implant that was 20-years-old and had ruptured. Now, her toxic-free regimen includes not only eliminating implants but cutting out certain types of hair treatments, as well as Botox and even nail polish.

“Homeward bound, grateful and down to the bare bone of the original 1964 model……#NoMoreImplants #NoMoreBotox #NoMoreExtensions #NoMoreHighlights #NoMoreNailPolish #ToxicFree,” posted Yolanda on social media. “Forced to honor my authentic self and respectfully own it!!! #MyHealthJourney #SearchingForaCure”

As the Inquisitr reported, Foster is joined by Avril Lavigne in battling Lyme disease.

Seeking to help others with Lyme disease, Avril has kick-started a campaign that will provide more awareness to the condition while offering support to others through the Avril Lavigne Foundation. Although she’s now recovered from the worst stage of her disease, Avril recalls being unable to breathe, move, or talk, admitting that at one point she thought was dying.

Lyme disease is transmitted to humans by a tick infected with the bacteria Borrelia burgdorferi, which then attaches itself to the body and, just by clinging there for 36 to 48 hours, transmits the disease to its human recipient.

After someone does get infected, 80 percent notice a rash. It looks like a target for shooting: The center may be a solid red, with a white ring around it. In addition, those infected might feel feverish or chilly and experience an aching sensation or pain. But progressive symptoms can be heart-breaking, as Avril and Yolanda discovered.

For those who question the longevity of Lyme disease that some such as Foster have experienced, it is called chronic or persistent Lyme disease. Lyme disease symptoms continue for 10 to 20 percent of patients, and cognitive dysfunction, as well as exhaustion and muscle aches, can prevent them for leading normal lives. To date, no one knows why some suffer from persistent Lyme disease.
