Jennifer Lopez fans rejoice, as the Hollywood Reporter confirms that Jennifer Lopez will be hosting and performing in the upcoming American Music Awards 2015.
The American Music Awards 2015 (AMA) is still a few weeks ahead, but we have confirmed, straight from Jennifer Lopez herself, that she will be hosting and performing on the night of the awards. It’s been years since Jennifer Lopez started in the music and Hollywood industry and now, at 46-years-old, superstar Jennifer Lopez is finally hosting one of the most sought-after music awards in the industry.
Jennifer Lopez tweeted just a few hours back that she will be hosting the upcoming American Music Awards 2015. First nominated on the American Music Awards in 2000 for Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist, Jennifer Lopez has come a long way already with three awards from the American Music Awards, and now, the host of the awards.

Jennifer Lopez’ most recent distinctions from the American Music Awards were in 2003 for Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist, her first nomination back in 2000, and two more in 2007 and 2011, both as Favorite Latin Artist. Not to mention Jennifer Lopez’ countless awards and distinctions from several award-giving bodies both in the US and worldwide. As of date, Jennifer Lopez is already at 295 nominations in various award-giving bodies from 1997, with 210 of these nominations won. Jennifer Lopez’ first ever award was back in 1997-1998, where she bagged several best actress awards and other related awards from countless award-giving bodies — from the Golden Globe, the ALMA Awards, to the MTV Awards, among others — for her role as Selena Quintanilla Perez in hit movie Selena.
ABC reports that Jennifer Lopez’ hosting stint at the American Music Awards this coming November will be her first time hosting for an awards night. Apart from hosting the American Music Awards night, Jennifer Lopez will also be performing on the Microsoft Theater stage. Last year at the American Music Awards, Jennifer Lopez performed their hit song, Booty, with Iggy Azalea. This year, Jennifer Lopez’ performance and hosting of the American Music Awards 2015 is said to be a teaser for Lopez’ upcoming Las Vegas residency, “All I Have,” which begins January 20, 2016.
“All I Have” by Jennifer Lopez will be her first ever headlining residency at the Axis theater, bringing explosive numbers and hit songs mixing pop, R&B, and Latina. Jennifer Lopez is set for six schedules on January, four for February, four in March, and six more in June throughout her “All I Have” residency. Tickets for her Vegas schedules are already available via Planet Hollywood’s website or phone lines.
But while we are still a long way from November’s American Music Awards featuring Jennifer Lopez, look forward to October 13, where stars Joe Jonas and Charlie Puth are set to announce the American Music Awards nominees this year. Appearing live on ABC’s Good Morning America on Tuesday, October 13, Joe Jonas and Charlie Puth will be revealing the nominees for the six categories in the annual American Music Awards. Nominees for the AMA 2015 will be chosen based on album sales, radio airplay, touring, and social media.
