Jennifer Lopez fans rejoice, as the Hollywood Reporter confirms that Jennifer Lopez will be hosting and performing in the upcoming American Music Awards 2015.

The American Music Awards 2015 (AMA) is still a few weeks ahead, but we have confirmed, straight from Jennifer Lopez herself, that she will be hosting and performing on the night of the awards. It’s been years since Jennifer Lopez started in the music and Hollywood industry and now, at 46-years-old, superstar Jennifer Lopez is finally hosting one of the most sought-after music awards in the industry.

Jennifer Lopez tweeted just a few hours back that she will be hosting the upcoming American Music Awards 2015. First nominated on the American Music Awards in 2000 for Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist, Jennifer Lopez has come a long way already with three awards from the American Music Awards, and now, the host of the awards.

Jennifer Lopez’ most recent distinctions from the American Music Awards were in 2003 for Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist, her first nomination back in 2000, and two more in 2007 and 2011, both as Favorite Latin Artist. Not to mention Jennifer Lopez’ countless awards and distinctions from several award-giving bodies both in the US and worldwide. As of date, Jennifer Lopez is already at 295 nominations in various award-giving bodies from 1997, with 210 of these nominations won. Jennifer Lopez’ first ever award was back in 1997-1998, where she bagged several best actress awards and other related awards from countless award-giving bodies — from the Golden Globe, the ALMA Awards, to the MTV Awards, among others — for her role as Selena Quintanilla Perez in hit movie Selena.
