‘Bachelorette’ Star Kaitlyn Bristowe To Get Backlash Over New Business Idea?

Kaitlyn Bristowe may not have returned to work after wrapping up The Bachelorette and celebrating her engagement to Shawn Booth. The two could be talking wedding plans, but they are keeping a low profile and using this time to bond. Kaitlyn did get to meet Shawn on The Bachelorette, but it is questionable how much they actually know about each other. Many Bachelorette couples have split due to the fact that they simply didn’t know one another.

But Kaitlyn Bristowe seems to be enjoying herself with Booth, and this former Bachelorette could be thinking about work. But she doesn’t seem eager to get back to work. And with plenty of endorsement deals and appearances, the new couple may not be strapped for cash. However, it sounds like she could be thinking about following in Andi Dorfman’s footsteps.

According to a new tweet, Kaitlyn Bristowe recently revealed that she is launching a clothing line. While many people would love to wear her shirts, this is far from original.

“So excited to launch my clothing collab w/ ShopSog that I ALMOST don’t need a coffee!” the former Bachelorette tweeted, wearing one of her shirts and holding an iced coffee.

And fans had mixed reactions to her clothing line. While some people were thrilled with the Christmas gift idea, others were more interested in knowing a potential wedding date. Bristowe hasn’t announced one yet, and it is possible that they are taking their time.

“I feel like you and Shawn Booth need to set a wedding date. The longer you wait, the more people will think it isn’t,” one follower replied, while others added, “happy shopping!!!” and “Great Christmas ideas for the young ladies I my life, thank you!”

A fourth person added, “U2 must be makin a sh*t load off all the appearances/promoting. No need 4 ‘real’ job All good in the real world?”

But maybe they aren’t making that much money. Former Bachelorette star Andi Dorfman also tried the T-shirt line after she wrapped filming on the show. Sadly for Andi, it completely backfired, and people called her a sell-out. It doesn’t sound like Kaitlyn Bristowe is getting that same reaction — using her Bachelorette fame to start a side business. Back in December of last year, Bachelorette star Andi announced that she had created a T-shirt with the word “love” on it. And since she had broken up with Josh Murray, people felt she was a sellout.

“I thought you were an attorney. Lame,” one follower wrote, while others wrote, “Sellout #unfollow” and “WTH? And everyone thought you were in it for love. LOL.”

People come on The Bachelorette to find love, and Dorfman quickly broke things off with Josh Murray. People felt tricked because she had gushed about him and kept their relationship problems to themselves. But Kaitlyn is very open about her feelings and it is possible this business venture could be a success.

“I think many of us fell in love with Andi from the get go because she was a young and successful Assistant DA. That’s a huge accomplishment and many saw her as a role model. However, designing a t-shirt for a company that sells it for $48, or promoting a coupon app, or pushing so many other products, just seems wrong and much less impressive than a career in law. It’s just too much promoting for too many things that we lose sight of what we loved about you. Just my two cents,” one person wrote, capturing what many people felt.

What do you think of Bachelorette star Kaitlyn Bristowe’s new clothing line? Do you think it will sell, or do you think she will be called a sellout like Andi?
