Xbox One Holiday Bundle: Best Console Deal Yet; LEGO Movie Bundle Already Out

If this is not the best time to pick up an Xbox One, then we don’t know when is.

Xbox One is upping the ante in the console battle this week by releasing five Xbox One bundles back-to-back; one Xbox One bundle per day. Last week, we brainstormed on a few Xbox One bundle ideas we thought Xbox would unveil or would not be unveiling this week, and one of them already hit the spot.

Earlier, we confirmed that Microsoft was releasing the Rise of the Tomb Raider Xbox One bundle which included an Xbox One console with a 1 TB hard drive, the Tomb Raider Definitive Edition remaster of the 2013 Tomb Raider reboot full-game download, and the Rise of the Tomb Raider full-game download with a Tactical Survival Kit Content Pack, all for just $399.

Today, we have also picked up on another bundle, a limited edition Xbox One The LEGO Movie Videogame bundle, which will also be available in stores while stock lasts. This Xbox One bundle will include a 500 GB Xbox One console, one wireless controller, and an Xbox One The LEGO Movie Videogame with over 90 playable characters from the film.

But the best, so far, of all the Xbox One bundles we predicted, is the Xbox One 1 TB Holiday bundle that will offer an astonishing amount of playable material for the best value yet.

The second of the official announcements of Xbox One bundles made by Microsoft this week, the Xbox One 1 TB Holiday bundle will include an Xbox One console with a 1 TB hard drive, one Xbox One wireless controller with a 3.5mm headset jack, a hard copy of Gears of War Ultimate and Rare Replay, and a full-game download code for Ori and the Blind Forest.

The Xbox Wire Staff reports on the details of the Xbox One 1 TB Holiday bundle.

“Experiencing the original Gears of War rebuilt from the ground up in 1080p, including 60FPS competitive multiplayer with 19 maps and six game modes and five campaign chapters never released on console.”

“Accessing the entire Xbox 360 Gears of War collection to play on Xbox One through Backward Compatibility at no additional cost when you play Gears of War: Ultimate Edition on Xbox Live by Dec. 31, 2015.”

“Playing a jaw-dropping collection of 30 iconic games with Rare Replay, from Battletoads and Banjo-Kazooie to Perfect Dark and more.”

“And immersing themselves in the critically acclaimed action-platformer, Ori and the Blind Forest.”

Two years ago, you could purchase an Xbox One console a la carte for $500. Now, for only $399, you can get a better Xbox One console upgraded to a 1 TB hard drive with games worth more than $100. Gears of War Ultimate sells for $60, Rare Replay is priced at $30, and Ori and the Blind Forest costs $20, which lowers the cost of the actual Xbox One 1 TB console to an affordable $290 when you consider the value of the games in this bundle. Now, that’s some great savings! Gears of War,Rare Replay, and Ori and the Blind Forest are just three of the best Xbox One exclusives to date and getting this Xbox One Holiday bundle will indeed offer an extra helping of early holiday spirit.

What is Sony offering to battle against Microsoft’s back-to-back release of Xbox One bundles? Well, we do know there’s a $400 Destiny bundle with a 500 GB PlayStation 4 console and a Destiny game copy, and there is a Star Wars: Battlefront PlayStation 4 bundle that will come with a copy of the upcoming Star Wars: Battlefront game. Well, they are still way ahead of Xbox One in terms of hardware and software sales, so we have not heard about any fancy bundles from PlayStation just yet.

We have two more days left of this week’s Xbox One bundle offerings, so stay tuned for more updates.
