WWE Rumor: Undertaker Vs. Braun Strowman Taking Place At ‘WrestleMania 32’

Throughout his legendary career, future WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker has had several interesting opponents on WWE’s grandest stage. Some of them have been good, like Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Edge, and CM Punk. Some of them have been bad, like Giant Gonzalez, King Kong Bundy, and The Big Bossman.

When WWE announced that Undertaker and Brock Lesnar would be facing each other at next month’s Hell in a Cell pay-per-view, everybody immediately scratched Lesnar off as Undertaker’s opponent at WrestleMania 32. It also led a lot of people to speculate on who would be the opponents for both men in Dallas next year.

As for Brock Lesnar, well, there’s a short list of rumored opponents that may end up facing him at WrestleMania 32, and every single one of the rumored opponents would likely put on a great match with Lesnar. However, you can’t say the same for Undertaker’s rumored WrestleMania 32 opponent.

At this past year’s WrestleMania 31, Undertaker went one-on-one with the leader of the Wyatt Family, Bray Wyatt. It was a feud that was completely carried by Wyatt, as Undertaker didn’t appear on a single WWE show up until WrestleMania 31, where he was able to pick up the win over WWE’s “new face of fear.”

Next month, during WWE’s tour of Mexico, Undertaker will be involved with Wyatt once again, but, this time, he’ll be taking on his henchmen, Luke Harper in Braun Strowman in a series of tag-team matches, as he’ll reunite with Kane, and re-form the Brothers of Destruction.

Undertaker’s encounter with Strowman during WWE’s tour of Mexico may not end up being the only times the two giants are in the ring with each other, as rumor has it that the two men will be facing each other at WrestleMania 32.

Braun Strowman made his WWE debut at the end of August, and since then he’s been portrayed as an unstoppable monster. He hasn’t looked particularly good in the ring, however, but WWE is fully behind the idea of making Strowman an unstoppable force.

In fact, WWE is behind Strowman so much, that Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer believes that “Sister Abigail’s Black Sheep” may be in the ring with Undertaker at WrestleMania 32.

“I actually think that Braun Strowman will wrestle Undertaker at WrestleMania. That wouldn’t surprise me at all.”

If WWE does end up having Strowman take on Undertaker at WrestleMania 32, it’ll likely be a gimmick match of some sort due to Strowman being so green. It’ll also probably be shorter than 10 minutes long.

Strowman vs. Undertaker, no matter how much of a “smoke-and-mirrors match” it may be, definitely doesn’t have the ingredients to be a classic WrestleMania match. But, Vince McMahon wants to make a new monster, and he sees Strowman his ideal monster.

There has been talk that WrestleMania 32 will end up being Undertaker’s final match, however, Strowman doesn’t seem like a good fit for “The Phenom’s” retirement match. So, if Undertaker is going to retire next year, most people would like to see him in the ring with a bigger star than Braun Strowman.

As for other rumored opponents for Undertaker at WrestleMania, well, there are really only two. One of them is Seth Rollins, who may end up taking on Brock Lesnar at the event, as Lesnar and Rollins have unfinished business. The other is John Cena, who hasn’t had a high profile match with Undertaker since early on in his career, when he was the “Doctor of Thuganomics.”

So, out of the three rumored opponents — Strowman, Cena, and Rollins — it’s probably safe to say that Strowman is the one that WWE fans don’t want to see in the ring with Undertaker next April, especially if it’s going to be “The Deadman’s” retirement match.
