Tim Tebow and beauty queen Olivia Culpo are supposedly an item.
If the rumors are accurate, Tebow and Miss USA 2012/Miss Universe 2012 are dating, according to the Terez Owens sports gossip blog.
“We’re being told Tim and Olivia have been spotted together on several occasions, and in typical Tebow fashion, he’s not rushing to settle down quite yet says our source,” the blog claimed earlier this week.
There has thus far been no confirmation from either the Tebow or Culpo camps about the existence of any relationship, however.
The 2007 Heisman Trophy winner from the University of Florida, where he won two national championships as the team’s quarterback, Tebow’s NFL comeback was cut short when he was released earlier this month by the Philadelphia Eagles.
Currently a free agent perhaps in all senses, Tebow, 28, has rejoined ESPN as an SEC football analyst.
Culpo, 23, who recently split up with Jonas brother Nick Jonas after a two-year relationship, made headlines last week when she almost fainted on the red carpet at the Emmy Awards as a result of the extreme Los Angeles heat.
Commenting on the Tebow-Culpo dating rumor, the Washington Free Beacon noted that the supposed couple have a lot in common. “First of all, they are both champions in their fields. Culpo easily crushed all the other girls in Miss Universe 2012, taking the crown. Just a few years earlier, Tebow crushed the college game and won the Heisman trophy as a sophomore… Culpo’s exchange of Nick Jonas for Tebow will go down as the best rebound of all time, and America is a better place because of it.”
“After winning Miss USA in 2012, she went on to compete in Miss Universe that same year. More recently, she’s worked as a model and appeared on E! as part of their Emmys coverage… She’s also stayed busy posting plenty of photos on Instagram,” Hollywood Take summarized about Culpo’s current career path.
Rhode Island native Olivia Culpo was the first contestant from the U.S. to win the Miss Universe crown since 1997.
Culpo is also affiliated with Donald Trump’s modeling agency, Trump Models , according to the agency’s website.
In 2012, Tim Tebow briefly went out with actress Camilla Belle , who oddly enough previously dated Joe Jonas.
“Much like Culpo, the brown-eyed beauty also sported chocolate locks and enviable cheekbones,” the New York Post explained .
