Will Kylie Jenner’s Mermaid Costume Be Hotter Than Kim Kardashian’s?

Kylie Jenner isn’t just dethroning big sister Kim Kardashian, she’s also copying her — again. Kylie is planning to use Kim’s 2012 Halloween costume idea as her own costume this year, slipping into a “seriously hot” mermaid outfit when the parties begin.

There’s already speculation about who will be the hottest on Halloween.

Kylie, 18, has been looking to Kim, 34, for guidance as the younger sister blazes her way into the adult celebrity world, having celebrated her legal age birthday this summer. Hollywood Life reports, “Kylie’s had a lot of influence from Kim,” and Kim is someone the youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan “definitely admires.” Kylie wants to emulate her sister’s career and fashion choices. The Halloween costume is just one more way to do that.

TMZ reports that Kylie visited Trashy Lingerie in Los Angeles earlier in the week to take a look at mermaid costumes and “get the ball rolling” on her Halloween plans. Trashy Lingerie is known for its sexy merchandise, and is the store where Caitlyn Jenner bought the corset for her Vanity Fair cover shoot.

Kylie’s bra, made to look like twin seashells, will add to her figure “a little extra padding,” and her mermaid outfit will show off a lot more skin than Kim revealed in her 2012 costume. At just under $2,000, Kylie’s mermaid costume will cost less than Kim’s $2,500 extravaganza, and will be embellished with lots of beads and rhinestones. Cleavage is a certainty, of course. TMZ has posted a photo of Kylie’s mermaid bra that Trashy Lingerie has on display.

There’s been a lot of competition between the oldest and youngest of the Keeping Up With the Kardashian offspring lately. Kylie’s made a reputation for herself as a social media queen, and Kim has bowed to the inevitable. In a recent livestream on kimkardashianwest.com, Kim asked her little sister how she felt about “dethroning” her. Kylie wouldn’t admit that she’s taken over from Kim, and the two sisters had a laugh about it.

The laughter might have been a bit strained, though. Hollywood Life reports that when Kylie emerged after her plastic surgery makeover, the Jenners and Kardashians weren’t “expecting it to take on a life of its own, least of all Kim.” Now that Kylie is becoming the new queen of everything, the whole family will have some adjusting to do, Kim most of all.
