Well, it seems it is more than just fans who really want Dr. Cristina Yang to come back to Grey’s Anatomy . Kevin McKidd, who plays Cristina’s former flame, Owen, is eager for her to return to the show, and pronto, and he is going public with his wish.
The Inquisitr reports that signs of Sandra Oh’s return to Grey’s Anatomy are increasing. Shonda Rhimes has hinted that Cristina Yang would be a part of Meredith Grey’s new journey, but fans are still awaiting confirmation of Cristina Yang’s return. Of course, fans remember that Cristina is Meredith’s “person,” despite McDreamy.

Entertainment Weekly had a chat with Kevin McKidd, aka Dr. Owen Hunt, and he said if he was Shonda Rhimes for a day, he would bring Cristina back to Grey’s Anatomy .
“If I could be Shonda for a day, I’d bring Cristina back for a few episodes and see what that did to the relationships — and especially Owen,” McKidd answered, adding, “I would also introduce a long-running villainous character to the show.”
“Cristina is just an awesome badass,” McKidd said, answering a separate question about his favorite characters.

And according to International Business Times , Sandra Oh is willing to reprise her role as Dr. Cristina Yang, and all Rhimes has to do is call.
“We talked about that when I told [Rhimes] I was going to leave but we haven’t talked about it again. There are certain things that Shonda and I talk about once and then we leave it because we want things to happen without pressure,” she stated. “I told her, ‘If you guys want to finish it out however you want to finish it out, I’d be more than happy to come back. And if it doesn’t fit in that way, I totally understand.”

And according to the Inquisitr , the stars seem to be aligning for the return of Cristina Yang to the series. With Patrick Dempsey’s departure, it almost seems like the natural next step in bringing the Grey’s Anatomy family back together.
