Jessica Simpson Faces Custody Battle Due To Alleged Drinking Problem: Rehab Or Else?
Is Jessica Simpson headed for a custody battle over her two children? According to a September 24 report by Radar Online, Jessica Simpson’s husband, Eric Johnson, is “worried sick” about his wife’s rumored drinking problem, which an insider claims she pairs with pills.
“Things reached a climax in early May, when Eric told [Jessica Simpson] he has had enough and issued his ultimatum. He is worried sick that Jess’ conduct is going to start affecting their two children and that their oldest is starting to realize there’s something wrong with mommy.”
Jessica Simpson and her husband, former NFL pro Johnson, have two children together, Maxwell Drew Johnson and Ace Knute Johnson, and recently, claimed Radar Online‘s source, Johnson told Jessica Simpson that she needs to get help for her reported “substance abuse problems” immediately. And if she doesn’t, she could risk losing her kids.
Although Jessica Simpson’s Adderall use has yet to be confirmed by anyone close to the celebrity, Radar Online‘s source claimed she “relies on the prescription drug” to stay thin. And, added the insider, she pairs her Adderall pills with Scotch.
“She can’t be in denial any longer about the toll that her problems have taken on her marriage, or she could lose her husband her children – and her money.”
As the Inquisitr previously reported, HSN President Bill Brand defended Jessica Simpson after her questionable appearance aired on the network. In a statement to Us Weekly, Brand addressed allegations of Jessica Simpson being drunk.
“Of course [Jessica Simpson] wasn’t drunk. [She was a] top-notch professional… She was here. She was thrilled to be here. I can tell you our team loved working with her.”
During Jessica Simpson’s appearance on HSN, which aired last Thursday, September 17, the former pop star was said to have been slurring her words and “wobbling” on her feet. Online, viewers of the HSN special flooded Twitter with allegations of her being drunk. One woman even claimed Jessica Simpson seemed clueless about her own brand.
After a successful career in music, Jessica Simpson went on to become a reality star, aside former husband Nick Lachey. Then, after her marriage came to an end, Jessica Simpson continued her success with a popular fashion line, which has given Jessica Simpson a reported net worth of $150 million.
Jessica Simpson’s latest HSN appearance was followed by a second “dazed” outing just days later, according to TMZ.
