Week Three Of The ‘Fallout 4’ Cartoon Series Details What’s For Dinner

Continuing the entertaining and informative Fallout 4 online cartoon, BethesdaNet today released the third installment of the weekly web series. Like each of the seven planned episodes that will be delivered to fans ahead of the official launch of Fallout 4 this November, this week’s newest cartoon gives players a look into one of the upcoming game’s core character attributes.

In the Fallout universe, a fictional third world war ends with the collapse of civilization following a world-wide nuclear attack. In this alternate timeline, United States society never gets a chance to evolve beyond what was seen in the 1950s. In keeping with this inspired theme, the ongoing Fallout 4 cartoon is presented in the retro style of programming from that era. The mock-series was produced to look like it was produced by the franchise’s Vault-Tec corporation, which will once again appear in Fallout 4.

“Following total atomic annihilation, the rebuilding of this great nation of ours may fall to you. That’s why Vault-Tec has prepared this educational video series for you to better understand the seven defining attributes that make you S.P.E.C.I.A.L.!”

Over the course of seven weeks, Bethesda will release another episode of the animated series leading up to the launch of Fallout 4. Every week, the developer will detail another one of the game’s primary ability scores. Known as the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. system, each one of the attributes will provide a different bonus within Fallout 4. The name S.P.E.C.I.A.L. is actually an acronym that represents the series’ seven primary skills.

“Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility and Luck – all of these attributes will impact how you survive and thrive aboveground.”

After covering both Strength and Perception, Bethesda continues to go in order to detail Endurance in this week’s latest cartoon. As would be expected in a post-apocalyptic setting, each of the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. attributes gives characters another edge in surviving in Fallout 4‘s harsh setting. As the new cartoon explains, Endurance will help players deal with the toxic and radioactive world around them.

Living in a world that has been destroyed by a nuclear holocaust is never easy. Even if survivors do manage to find food, chances are that it has been contaminated with radiation. A high Endurance score helps characters be able to safely handle larger exposure to such radioactivity in Fallout 4. There are also a number of exclusive perks tied to the attribute that opens up new dietary choices, including cannibalism.

While the online series was intended to give gamers a weekly look at Fallout 4 as they await for the title’s approaching launch date, many have since grown to become fans of the cartoon programs themselves. The first two episodes of the series, which were previously reported by the Inquisitr, can be seen after the break.
