Will Forte And January Jones Split, Couple Call It Quits Less Than A Year Of Dating

Will Forte and January Jones were both on hand at Sunday’s Emmys. Forte was there because he was nominated for his series Last Man on Earth, while Jones was there to support Mad Men. That said, they didn’t walk the red carpet together.

We’re now finding out it’s because the couple has split after five months of dating. According to Us Weekly, the famous private couple, who stayed out of the spotlight for most of their relationship, decided to end things last month.

As the Inquisitr reported, the pair started dating in April, but they fizzled out pretty quickly. The reason? According to sources, January Jones wasn’t looking for a commitment. January even told her friends that “relationships are a pain in the a**.” Yikes.

Prior to her relationship with Will Forte, Jones went out with Forte’s SNL colleague Jason Sudeikis, Ashton Kutcher, Josh Groban, and Noah Miller. January and director Noah Miller split up in January of 2013. The private actress famously won’t reveal the identity of her son Xander’s father.

On the matter, Jones said of the mystery, “I don’t have room for anything else, so I don’t know how I would have done it with a partner. I knew I would be raising my son alone. It was something I went in to knowingly, I was prepared mentally — and I was excited about it.”

She continued, “It’s just not something the public needs to know. I don’t divulge my sexual preferences. There are parts of your life — no matter what your job — that should remain private. When I was starting out, other actors advised me to keep certain things close to the vest. When you become a public figure people want to know everything about you, and then they pit it apart — it becomes negative.”

As for Will Forte and January Jones, the two met on the set of Forte’s show Last Man on Earth. When the news broke that they were dating, the Inquisitr pointed out that they were only casually dating.

In a Grantland interview, it points out that Forte has never popped the question, “Forte, 44, has never been married, which he blames on his impulse to put everybody else ahead of whomever he’s dating.”

Perhaps this is a clue as to why they broke up? Who knows, but either way, it’s known that Forte is one of the nicest guys in the business. It couldn’t have been that rough of a relationship.
