‘Vet School’: Nat Geo Wild New TV Show Follows Students Of Cornell University Vet Program, Premieres Tonight

Vet School is a brand-new reality series that is set to premiere on Nat Geo Wild tonight, according to TV By The Numbers. Produced by Factory Media, the new tv show will follow a group of students as they make their rotations through the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. Nat Geo Wild viewers will get to see these future animal doctors as they began a crash course in the basics of veterinary medicine. Cast members include, Sam Dicker, Singen Elliott, Aziza Glass, Aria Hill, Hannah Brodlie, Cristina Bustamante and Dan Cimino.

Viewers will also get to see what it’s like for senior students who are getting ready to make the transition from college students to real veterinarians. Each one-hour episode will offer animal lovers the perfect opportunity to see what it takes to become a veterinarian. In researching the qualifications for becoming a vet, it is important for prospective students who are thinking about going to college for veterinary medicine to consider that they will need to be patient, kind, persistent, generous, and have an intense love for animals. According to the Albuquerque Journal,Dean Lorin Warnick, of Cornell University Vet School, made the following comment.

“It takes a person who has that connection and likes to work with people because all those animals come with people attached.”

According to the pay scale for veterinarians’ salary, one could make at least $84,000 a year. At the higher end of the pay scale some could expect an annual salary of around $150,000 and the lowest paid veterinarians make just over 53,000 a year. A breakdown of that could be around $42 an hour for the average veterinarian. Recently Inquisitr wrote about another popular veterinarian named Dr. Jeff, who runs Denver’s Planned Parenthood Plus Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Jeff Young’s practice was featured on the tv show Dr. Jeff: Rocky Mountain Vet on the Animal Planet about 10 weeks ago.

In his hometown of Colorado Dr. Jeff Young is considered the premiere veterinarian in the area due to his love, humility, and patience for his animals and the pet owners. But not everyone has a good character when it comes to veterinary medicine. Recently in the news, there was a report of a veterinarian being arrested for trying to smuggle drugs inside of puppies. A Fort Worth veterinarian euthanized several of his dogs in order to use them for experiments and for blood transfusions. Others have been arrested for animal cruelty, and at least one other was arrested for murdering one of his mistresses.
