Dwayne Johnson, known as “The Rock,” is set to welcome his first baby with gal pal Lauren Hashian. Although Dwayne already has a teenage daughter, this child will be Johnson’s first with Lauren, reported Us Weekly.
At 43, Dwayne’s daughter Simone is 14, and her mom is Johnson’s ex-wife Dany Garcia. But now The Rock, who also is known as a movie star with credits such as Furious 7, is looking to the future.
“They are so excited!” said a source about Lauren and Dwayne.
Johnson and Hashian have been consciously coupled for almost a decade, and Dwayne recently became a doggy daddy after rescuing two tiny French bulldog pups during the Labor Day holiday.
Famed as a wrestling wizard, Johnson named his new dog babies Brutus and Hobbs. And in preparation for becoming the new papa of a human baby, he’s already boasting about his potty-training prowess. Just one problem: The puppies aren’t exactly contenders for a swimming championship.
“[I] bring them home and immediately take them outside so they can start learning how to ‘handle their business and potty like big boys. I set them both down and they both take off in a full sprint and fall right into the deep end of our pool.”
For Dwayne, however, it’s the people in his life that mean the most. Johnson reflected on what Lauren and his daughter Simone mean to him.
“We do these stories and we talk so much about the business end, the success end, but then Lauren isn’t mentioned and my daughter [Simone] isn’t mentioned,” noted Dwayne.
Johnson emphasized that he seeks to find a balance between work and a rock-solid home life for The Rock.
“I always like making sure we find the balance and my home life is in there and Lauren Hashian is in there and my daughter is in there. You gotta get the better half in there,” declared Dwayne. “With all the cool s–t and success that I’ve been lucky enough to get? That doesn’t happen unless the home life is solid.”
For those wondering what happened after Johnson’s new puppies fell into the pool, they were quickly rescued by a fully clothed The Rock, reported the New York Daily News.
“Hobbs immediately starts doggy paddling while Brutus (like a brick) sink heads first to the bottom of the pool,” described Dwayne.
Johnson dove in with all his clothes on and recovered Brutus, who rapidly recovered.
“He took a moment, threw up all the water he swallowed and looked up at me as if to say, ‘Thank God you didn’t have to give me mouth to mouth!’ and then ran off to play with his brother.”
Up next for Dwayne is a reboot of Baywatch, so that ability to do fast rescues in the water will be useful.
Johnson also is set for Jungle Cruise, based on the Disneyland ride, and Furious 8, which will also star Vin Diesel and Cody Walker, according to IMDb.
