Jennifer Lien, the actress best known for her three-season-long stint on Star Trek: Voyager, was arrested September 3 for indecent exposure, after allegedly exposing her breasts and buttocks to a group of children.
The incident allegedly took place outside of Jennifer Lien’s home in Harriman, Tennessee, earlier this month, according to TMZ. The actress reportedly engaged in an argument with a neighbor after becoming angered that a small child was crying, having cut its foot. The report claims that Lien grew so agitated that she exposed her breasts and posterior to three children who were present, all under the age of 13.
Lien denied the allegations to police officers who responded and documented the incident. The officers then obtained a warrant for Lien’s arrest, yet the Star Trek actress didn’t go into custody without a fight. According to Trek News, when deputies delivered a Detainer Summons, Lien told the officers to enter her residence. Upon doing so, they allegedly found her covered only by a blanket.
The deputies informed Lien about the warrant, at which time the actress reportedly told them to leave her alone. The police report says that officers repeatedly asked Lien to clothe herself, to no avail, and that’s when the deputies took her into custody, she threatened to have them all shot and killed. Lien was reportedly carried into a police car when she was arrested.
Unfortunately, this month’s incident isn’t the Star Trek actress’ first run-in with the law. Prior to Lien’s latest encounter with law enforcement, she had been arrested for aggravated assault, resisting arrest, and evading arrest. As recently as April, Lien was charged with reckless endangerment.
During the course of Star Trek: Voyager‘s first three seasons, Jennifer Lien portrayed Kes, the Ocampa assistant to Robert Picardo’s brash Emergency Medical Hologram. Though Lien left the show at the beginning of its fourth season, she returned for an episode of Star Trek: Voyager‘s sixth season, in order to bring closure to her character’s arc.
With a bond currently set at $2,500, the actress is being held at the Roane County Detention Facility. Jennifer Lien is scheduled to appear in court to answer the most recent charges on December 7.
