Longmire Season 4 just premiered on Netflix and viewers are already hoping that Longmire will return for Season 5. Christian Today shared that there is a lot of speculation about if Longmire will be back or not. This season is made so that it feels like there is more to come. They didn’t close up all of the story lines and left a few things making fans want more of Longmire and soon. Netflix did not make it feel like a series finale, which gives fans hope that Longmire will return for at least one more season.
Sioux City Journal shared that Longmire fans were shocked when A&E made the decision to cancel the show. Executive producer of Longmire Hunt Baldwin shared that they didn’t leave all of the cliffhangers at the end of Season 3 as a way to get the network to feel obligated to renew Longmire . It obviously worked in their favor though because fans fought hard and Netflix made the decision to bring Longmire back for at least one more season.
Taylor was shocked when he heard the news of Longmire being canceled. Honestly he wasn’t even sure it was true and shared his thoughts.
“I thought it was a joke. I didn’t believe it. I got a text saying they canceled it, and I thought, ‘Oh, that’s great — I had an interview that I didn’t have to do.’ I was skiing in Australia, so it was cold. It took me a week or so and I reconciled myself to not doing it again, but I always believed we weren’t finished.”
A&E simply canceled Longmire because they felt like the audience was older than they wanted, but Netflix didn’t have any concerns with that at all. Viewers have been looking forward to Season 4 of Longmire , but at this time it is a bit too early for Netflix to go ahead and renew it. Not everyone is going to watch Longmire all in the first weekend so it will be a bit of time before they get all of the ratings and can make a decision about a renewal. Netflix is never fast about announcing the fate of their shows and Longmire may end up being the same.
Do you want to see Longmire come back for Season 5? Fans did a great job of making themselves heard when A&E canceled it and they will do the same to try to get Netflix to bring Longmire back once again.
