Apparently there has been a bit of a snafu in the eight month relationship between sweethearts Ryan Reynolds , 35, and Blake Lively , 24.
The pair has been seen everywhere lately. They’ve been spotted holding hands in New York just a few blocks away from their new Bedford country home, and in Canada having dinner with Reynolds’ family. Well, now it looks like there’s some trouble in paradise.
It’s obvious that Lively and Reynolds are getting serious, and sources tell Star that the couple are unofficially engaged. However, if Ryan’s mother Tammy has it her way, they could be heading for a split. According to a source, the Gossip Girl actress wound up storming away during a visit after a confrontation with Reynolds’ mother.
The same source has gone on to tell the magazine that “Tammy thinks Blake is pressuring Ryan to settle down before he’s ready.” The source continues, “He rushed into his first marriage with Scarlett Johansson.” Even though Tammy isn’t too happy with Blake, she is insisting that the couple settle in Ryan’s hometown of Vancouver, “She says when they have kids, Blake and Ryan should raise them in Canada because it’s safer,” says the source.
However, Blake who films her television show Gossip Girl in New York “refuses to even consider that, saying that she has to be in New York for work.”
As for Ryan not being ready to settle down, in May of 2011 Reynolds gave an interview to Details magazine and has this to say about dating, “It just seems so kind of alien to me at this point. I’ve been in relationships pretty much since high school. Some people look at that as a good thing. I think wiser people might see that as a house of cards.”
