Although it probably won’t surprise many fans, Meghan King Edmonds is standing firm in her belief that Brooks Ayers is lying about his cancer diagnosis. In a recent interview with People , the Real Housewives of Orange County star discussed her accusations and the reasons behind her beliefs.
“Every single person thinks what I am verbalizing,” Edmonds stated in regards to Ayer’s fight with cancer. As fans of the show already know, Edmonds has been in a feud with Ayers’ then-girlfriend and her co-star, Vicki Gunvalson , over the cancer issue. In fact, Edmond’s accusations that Ayers is faking his cancer has drawn a lot of attention in recent episodes of the reality show.
Despite this escalating drama between Edmonds and Gunvalson on this season of the Real Housewives of Orange County , the former went on to discuss how easy it would be to fake a cancer story.
“The general hypothesis is that, for example in last week’s episode, I go to the doctor because I have a lump and I need to get it checked out,” she stated.
“You see that in the episode, but there’s really no follow-up because it was an infection. Well, what if I said, ‘It’s not an infection but cancer.’ No one can disprove that, and there is actual evidence of it starting somewhere because I did go to the doctor,” Edmond’s explained in the interview. “It’s a real thing, but if I wanted to let that story grow legs I could because no one can prove it. I think that’s what might have happened with Brooks.”
Although Edmonds truly believes that Ayers does not have cancer , the reality star admitted that she can’t prove her assumptions because she does not have access to the medical records.
“[As for] the answer to the question ‘Does Brooks have cancer?’ ” she related. “I don’t think so, but I can’t disprove that. The only thing that can actually prove or disprove it is medical records, and the only person who has access to those is the individual.”
Despite the accusations and constant fights with Edmonds, Gunvalson has remained committed in her stance that Ayers is not lying about his cancer. Whatever ends up happening between the two stars, the only thing that is certain is that the question of Ayers’ and his battle with cancer is not going to go away anytime soon.
