Paul Walker: Daughter Launches The Paul Walker Foundation, Family Honors His 42nd Birthday

Paul Walker would have turned 42 today, but sadly, a tragic 2013 car crash took the talented actor too soon. His family, however, hasn’t forgotten the positive impact he left on the world, including his daughter, who launched a charity organization today in her late father’s name.

Entertainment Weekly (EW) reports that Meadow Walker, Paul’s only daughter, launched the The Paul Walker Foundation today, an organization that will continue to pursue Paul’s philanthropic pursuits that he held so dear to his heart, including protecting wildlife, animals, and oceans. Meadow took to Instagram to express her feelings about her father’s goodwill and the new organization

“Reflecting on my father, I found myself reflecting on his passions. His passion for the ocean, his passion for rescuing animals, his passion for helping people and his passion for spontaneous goodwill. I wanted to start this foundation because I want to share that piece of him with the world. I want to share that part of him with others.”

Paul’s brother Cody also opened up about the superstar actor, reminiscing about how much the ocean and wildlife meant to Paul.

“I don’t know anyone that loves the ocean as much as Paul did. It will always remind me of him. So, on his birthday, that’s where I’ll be. We will have a small celebration for Paul with close friends and family – nothing big. Paul was a low-key guy.”

Cody, who shares the same shade of blue eyes as his famous brother, also remembers how Paul was loved greatly by his fans, but didn’t realize just how much he was adored until his death.

“Paul was a huge movie star, and I think really what I didn’t realize about Paul that I’ve since learned, is how loved Paul was to this scale. Everyone that ever encountered him, he had a way of just talking to people and just making everyone – regardless of whether he just met you or not – feel like you were the most important person in the world.”

Although Paul is remembered as an actor in numerous blockbuster films, his family, including his father, Paul Walker III, hope that people understand how much protecting the ocean meant to the Fast and Furious actor.

“That was his magical kingdom. The ocean, and the other was the racetrack.”
