Watch USA Rugby World Cup Matches Live Online: How To See Eagles Match Up Against World’s Best

American rugby fans looking for ways to watch the USA Eagles compete in the 2015 Rugby World Cup starting September 18 will be able to watch the USA group stage matches live online — in some cases for free. And this year, all 48 Rugby World Cup matches will stream live in the United States on a pay-per-view or paid subscription basis, allowing U.S. fans to see such top rugby nations as New Zealand, Australia, South Africa and England compete for the sport’s most prestigious prize.

The 2015 Rugby World Cup, held in England this time around, opens on September 18 at the 80,000-seat Twickenham Stadium in London — the world’s largest rugby-only stadium. Hosts England, the world’s fourth-ranked side, will face number nine Fiji in the opening match.

Serious action gets rolling the next day with four matches — three in England and one in Cardiff, Wales.

The USA Eagles see their first action as they open their Pool B group stage campaign with a contest against 12th-ranked Samoa at Brighton Community Stadium in the English beach town of Brighton. The USA comes into the World Cup ranked 15th in the world.

The England vs. Fiji match as well as the USA Eagles vs. Samoa contest will both be carried by Universal Sports network. But the channel is also available live online via two different methods.

For rugby fans who also have access to login credentials from a cable or satellite TV subscription service can use those credentials to log in to the Universal Sports live stream which is available at this link.

For those fans without a cable or satellite package that includes Universal Sports, the channel is also available as part of the Sling TV international sports package. A subscription to the Sling TV package costs $10 per month. But the first month is free, and the subscription can be canceled at any time. Rugby fans who choose to access the Sling TV offer can visit this link.

Universal Sports will also carry three more USA Eagles Rugby World Cup matches, against Scotland on September 27, South Africa on October 7, and Japan on October 11.

While the USA Eagles are not generally predicted to advance to the Rugby World Cup 2015 seminfinals, if they defy the odds and make it there, both semifinal matches as well as the Cup Final on October 31 will be streamed by Universal Sports as well.

USA Rugby fans who want to watch all 48 World Cup matches live online can do that too, either by paying a $199.99 subscription fee or by purchasing individual games on an a la carte, pay-per-view basis at a cost of $27.95 per game. Details on the paid option will be available at this link.
