Sarah Palin ‘Call Off The Dogs’ Comment Sparks Black Lives Matter Backlash

Sarah Palin is garnering a backlash for comments she made about President Obama not “calling off the dogs.” The former vice presidential candidate was chastising Obama for his lack of public support for police officers across the country in the wake of the recent rash of police shootings. Some feel Palin was calling Black Lives Matter activists “dogs.”

During a rally against President Obama’s highly controversial Iran deal, Sarah Palin received loud cheers from the enormous crowd when heralding the efforts of police officers and first responders across the country. Palin also deemed Obama a divider and noted that Donald Trump would be a unifier, the Daily Mail reports.

“Since our president won’t say it, since he still hasn’t called off the dogs, we’ll say it: Police officers and first-responders all across this great land, we got your back! We salute you! Thank you, police officers,” Palin said during the event.

Sarah Palin was briefly interrupted by a protest opponent during the rally. An individual attempted to reach the stage but was quickly subdued by security officers and lambasted by the crowd.

Recent political polls revealed that Trump has garnered the highest percentage of support from black Americans in the history of the Republican Party and is also leading the pack of 16 contenders in support among Hispanic voters. A Washington Examiner report states that 25 percent of black voters support trump.

“Only in an Orwellian Obama world full of sprinkly fairy dust blown from atop a unicorn as he’s peeking through a really pretty pink kaleidoscope would he ever see victory or safety of America or Israel in this treaty,” Sarah Palin said during her Iran deal speech on Capitol Hill. “Donald Trump, he’s the master of the deal, he can get things done. He’s all about bringing people together.”

Fellow GOP presidential contender Senator Ted Cruz invited Trump to join the Iran deal rally. Glenn Beck and Phil Robertson were also among the speakers, the Dallas Morning News reports.

“We are led by very, very stupid people! Stupid people! We can not let it continue,” Trump stated during the rally.

Senator Cruz appeared to agree with his presidential competitor.

“We keep winning elections – conservatives keep winning elections – and nothing changes, and we’re fed up with the Washington cartel,” Cruz aid. “We are fed up with empty show votes, whether it’s a show vote on Iran, a show vote on Planned Parenthood, a show vote on amnesty, a show vote on Obamacare. No more show votes. There are Republicans majorities in both houses of Congress. We need to actually honor the commitments we’ve made.”

Signs carried by some of the Iran deal protest rally read, “POTUS in bed with those who behead,” and “What part of death to America [and] death to Israel don’t you understand?”
