Texas Cops Find Loaded Gun In Woman’s Vagina

A Texas woman has been arrested and charged with unlawful carrying of a firearm, and the details surrounding this incident are nothing short of bizarre. WFAA News reports that Ashley Cecilia Castaneda hid the firearm somewhere completely unorthodox during an otherwise routine drug bust.

Authorities reportedly pulled over 30-year-old Gabriel Garcia on Monday night, just before 11:00 p.m., in a routine traffic stop. However, they quickly discovered that Garcia had at least 2.7 grams of crystal meth under the driver’s seat. This prompted the Waco, Texas, authorities to search the vehicle, which led to the discovery of nearly 30 grams of the illegal substance. Meanwhile, the purse carried by passenger Ashley Castaneda contained weighing scales, which are used in drug sales.

The discovery of the drugs took place within 1,000 feet of a school zone, which only aggravates the charges of drug possession. Both Garcia and 31-year-old Castaneda were charged with possession of methamphetamine in a drug-free zone. The arrest of both Garcia and Castaneda became more bizarre when the woman admitted to law enforcement officers that she had a handgun concealed in her vagina. The handgun happened to be a fully loaded Smith & Wesson .22 caliber pistol. After a female officer retrieved the gun from Castaneda’s vagina, she was charged with unlawful carry.

This is not the first time a woman has made media headlines for hiding things in her vagina. Last year a Tennessee woman was arrested for driving without a license, but authorities found a loaded small caliber firearm in her vagina, which led to further charges. In 2013, an Oklahoma woman was arrested after she reportedly tried to smuggle crystal meth and a loaded firearm into a correctional facility. She was caught with the contraband in her vagina, which led to numerous charges. She pleaded guilty, but still received three concurrent sentences of 25 years. This year a New Mexico woman was busted in a similar crime, but her story made headlines when she told authorities that she didn’t mean to put the gun deep into her vagina. She claimed that she had the gun holstered in her waistband, and it somehow slipped and found its way into her vaginal canal. Of course, authorities didn’t buy it.

Hopefully Ashley Castaneda learns her lesson from this embarrassing incident, because she’ll also be taught a lesson in the court of law. In Texas, unlawful carry of a firearm can garner a hefty sentence of hard prison time, especially since this had all taken place in a school zone.
