Katy Perry Falls At Burning Man, Recovers In Time For Film Premiere

Katy Perry has had a very exciting Burning Man experience. On Sunday, the “Dark Horse” singer decided to document her experience at the festival by posting a video of herself riding a segway in the desert.

That said, things really didn’t go according to plan and it was shared with her Instagram followers just for laughs. Wearing goggles to keep the dust out of her face, and a thick fur coat, Katy Perry definitely looked the part, but in the end it seems like she couldn’t exactly hack it on a segway.

Perry captioned the Instagram video with, “obvious first time burner alert.”

Her fans seemed to get a kick out of it:

Katy Perry is seen bopping about on her segway before it runs out from under her feet and she’s left trying to get a handle on it. In the end, the singer almost gets herself back on the segway but fails. Perry decided to turn her luck around, and swapped her desert look for a more glam outfit while attending a film premiere with designer Jeremy Scott.

Perry posed while at the hand printing ceremony for the film The Vladar Company’s Jeremy Scott: The People’s Designer. The film features Perry as one of Scott’s main parts in the film.

According to Us Weekly, Scott told the magazine about the project and Katy’s “role” in the film. “Katy is the arc of the film. When you see it, you’ll understand. There’s these iconic moments that everyone knows — like her on the field for the Super Bowl and us at the Met Gala on the stairs. And me kissing her hand. But then you have us in the car and me nervous, and her making me laugh and putting me at ease.”

When Perry’s not at Burning Man or posing for the red carpet, she’s wrapping up her exhaustive world tour. Perry ends her Prismatic World Tour on October 12 in San Jose, Costa Rica.
